Thimbles is one of those shops where you can find the latest and greatest as well as the tried and true! How about Kaffe Fasset fabrics in one section and an awesome collection of Civil War fabrics in the next? My kind of shopping. There are wonderful patterns, great notions and Jane and Tammy and the team are lovely people to work with. Be sure to visit them on a shop hop--these people know how to have fun and get you inspired! Theyve taken an old store front in historic downtown Lemont and created a warm, welcoming and well stocked meca for the quilter/sewer!

I have been going to Thimbles for over 5 years now and there is been my favorite quilt shop for so many reasons. The owners and staff are the best! I always leave with a great feeling and inspired. They keep quilting and friendship alive and always have time for every customer. Fabric, patterns, books, samples to show off and Bernina sewing machines are tops. I travel 40 miles just to visit and shop at thimbles. Take the trip and enjoy it all for the love of quilting!

I have been going to Thimbles for over 5 years and have fun time each time I stop by. Tammy, Jane and the staff always make me feel very confortable and welcomed. They offer so many classes and you never know what is up their sleeves as far intertainment. What I mean is that one day you can go here and they have PJs one day, wearing mask another. Want have fun while you sew, then stop by!

This is one of my go to shops when I need that special something g that is missing from a quilting project. The ladies have always been so helpful and I find what Im looking for almost every time! I have been coming here for years and plan to keep visiting! I love the inspiration that I can get while there and often find myself leaving with an unex6kit or two!

Best fabric store I have been too. The pre-made kits are great for a beginner. Their classes are very well done and the instructor (Joyce in my case) was always there to help outside of class. This store does a great job of showing their enthusiasm for quilting through their customer service.

Great variety of everything from machines to fabric and thread!! Highly suggest this place!!! The peoole who work here are super helpful and even helped me track down a bobbin case for my brother machine! Oh and actually held it for a month when my schedule got busy!! Love this place!

Honestly--I love this store. I went by to pick up just a little flannel and fell in love with every quilt that they had on display. They have a terrific color sense and make interesting combinations that really sparked my creativity. GO THERE.

I have a Bernina dealer 5 minutes from me and I drive an hour away just to come to Thimbles! Best fabric and kit selections! Super friendly staff and prices are a bit lower when comparing identical items and other local shops!
