We went to charmer and loved what we got (sour wood, raspberry and lavender ) I decided to order Honey for Christmas for my mother. I did this all online . my debit card did not go all the way through due to a new debit card. Not too long after I had given up temporarily (I was at work and didnt have time to validate ) a charming girl from charmer called me and said that their system was messing up and wanted to make sure everything was OK . I informed her about my new card and I was also concerned because a couple of items were low in stock. She put everything aside for me, she took my phone number and told me that if my card went through or the system got fixed she would text me. I communicated that it would be at least 2days, due to work, before I could call back. The next day she texted me something terribly sweet that I dont recall..but it was somewhere along the lines of have a nice day. When I did finally get to call , the system was still weird and just the process of canceling an online order for a post order took about 30 mins. We talked like we had been best friends for years. As the situation was done all I could think was "this is how it should be ". She wrapped it extra special because she knew it was for my mom.

I was very excited to stop in for the first time and happy to see someone handing out samples. When I asked for one the person acted as if they did not hear me (certain they did) and then continued to close the jar of honey they had already opened for someone next to me so I very kindly asked again receiving the response with a disconcerting look "you may not be able to taste the honey over all the sugar youre drinking." (Had unsweetened iced SB coffee in my hand.) I am happy there is such a shop but please do away with the snooty attitude there were many other ways this person could of responded. Other than that awesome shop will try again hopefully it will be a better experience.

Really cool shop, especially if you love honey. Excellent choices in local honey - some that can only be bought in the Asheville area. I wish that the prices were a little lower. The shop is locally owned and operated, and probably sources most of its honey and beekeepers locally, which likely puts some upward pressure on the final retail price. The only limiting factor to me buying even more was the price. Dont let that stop you going in to the store, however; go in and get SOMETHING! Youll be happy you did.

Nice environment, friendly staff, tasty product. It was strongly recommended I go to the Bee Charmer while I was in Asheville. The one glaring turn off was politely asking for tips for the honey tasting when I checked out. Seriously, youre having your staff suggest I pay someone for part of the sales pitch? I bought your product as a result of the tasting. If I only sampled the honey but didnt buy anything you wouldnt have asked me for anything. Just think about that for a moment.

After buying cheap honey in the grocery store for years, my eyes were really opened to the myriad of flavor possibilities offered by the humble honeybee and a world filled with different pollens. After trying their Cocoa Infused honey, I dont think it would be possible for me to eat toast with any other sweet topping! Definitely check this place out if youre interested in a sweetly unique shop in Downtown Asheville.

Such a delightful store! The free Honey Tasting Bar was a delicious and educational treat (the Tupelo Honey & local Sourwood Honey were my favorite!), the all natural beeswax Body Care was soothing to the skin, and the beeswax candles creating a warm and sweet scent throughout the whole store. A fun experience for all! Definitely will be returning for all future honey purposes!

Im a honey fiend of sorts, and likely part hummingbird, so this store is perfect to me. They offer a huge selection of both local and imported honey, a great sampling station, and a wonderful selection of bee-related products. This small site packs a lot without being too overwhelming. The staff here has always been so friendly as well! A must-visit when we are in Asheville

My wife and I enjoyed our visit. Wonderful bee products and the tasting bar was a real treat. Our favorite was the Tupelo Honey although several ranked very high. They even have Ghost Pepper Honey!! My only reason for not posting 5 stars was the price. A 16oz jar of Tupelo honey cost $28!!! I encourage you to visit, but be prepared to pay through the nose.......

Stopped by over the holiday weekend. I am a beekeeper in East Tennessee, so I am a fan of buying local honey while on holiday. The employees were friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable, I even tried a type of honey I never had before, which was fun. They also sell bee related products and clothing. Its a great little shop and their pricing was very reasonable.

The girl working the counter was extremely knowledgeable on the sources of the various honeys and in describing the various tastes and textures. Pity they didnt have tupelo when I went, but there were definitely plenty of other exquisite honeys I got to try, and I left with some leatherwood - definitely worth it!

Wonderful little shop and the perfect place to find unique local gifts for friends back home. We stocked up on the lotion bars, which are unique and come in a variety of wonderful honey scents and in adorable little tins. Ideal and easy to pack gifts for family and friends back home in California.

Nice, helpful staff. You can try just about any product- honey included. Parking can be tight since its downtown, but there are public decks. Prices are a bit high and I agree with the other reviewers that this is more of a bee product shop than a place to stock up on a few jars of honey.

Great shop featuring products centered around honey. Tasting bar was a surprising treat. Particularly enjoyed the BlackBerry honey and the irish honey blended with Jameson irish whiskey. Will be back for some of the honey lotion!

Very, very cute little shop that showcases a cool spectrum of bee products right in the heart of downtown. The honey bar is a great touch and their shirt designs are very attractive.

Loved this store! So many amazing products, the hard part is not buying one of everything!! I appreciated the mix-n-match honey sets, and the tasting bar! I will definitely be back!

Lovely Little Shoppe - They have a honey tasting station and a wonderful selection of honey. They have soaps and lotions that I adore. Its one of my favorite soap stores.
