I was discriminated against when I came to this parlor. Im not sure if the entire parlor is racist. But the man at the front desk sure is. I had called parlor an hour prior to coming to the shop. I was waiting for two hours for a very small and simple tattoo. He told me to wait an hour when i first arrived and said the artist was busy, i figured it must be a large tattoo so I left. He had told me that he would call after the hour, he did not. I returned to the store,continued to wait. I kept asking, how much longer will i be waiting and each time I noticed a small attitude in his response. The fourth time I asked, he told me I could come back tomorrow. I dont live in White plains, I came there to receive a tattoo that same day. I began to notice, the black people were waiting significantly longer than the white people. Soon after a white person, they were quickly served. Before, I could curse him out, he went to the back. My boyfriend told me it was a better idea just to leave. We left and went to Addicted To Ink which only a few blocks away. (and cheaper) The starting price here is 60$, at Addicted To Ink it is 50$. The service was incredibly faster, the technology was better, environment was better, the workers are much friendlier. If you are a minority, or a person who believes racism is wrong. I suggest that you do not come here. Better walk around the corner and go to Addicted To Ink.

So for a long time I wanted a wrist tattoo done...a simple anchor. Because it was such a simple design I figured I could just go anywhere for it. I really wish I remembered the artists name...but he was terrible. I have several other tattoos and before getting them done the artist would make sure you want it and would mention the issues that may come with having a tattoo in the given area...i get that. This artist was VERY discouraging, I had no doubt about the location but for some reason throughout the entire process from beginning to end, he insisted on repeating himself about how horrible of a spot that is to have a tattoo if you want to be a successful person in life. The tattoo can easily be covered by a watch which is what i have to do now because the artist did such a terrible job. After putting me down the entire time he quickly wrapped up the wrist after he was finished, telling me that he needed to because it was bleeding. I didnt get to see the tattoo until hours later when I took the bandaging off and the tattoo was totally screwed up. The lines run into eachother and it isnt even at all. It looks like a little kid took a sharpie and drew an anchor on my wrist. I would never go back here or recommend this place to anyone.

I got my first body piercing here and I was really nervous. Many girls from my school came here and said this is definitely the place to do it. I was pierced by Sheila who did an excellent job. She was quick and painless. All the equipment was clean and I had no infections. The jewelry was positioned correctly and did not reject. She was very comforting and reassuring. The room was nice and there was a cute pet snake too. If youre getting a body piercing for the first time or just want another I highly reccoment Big Joe and Sons.

Dreadful and unprofessional service they provide, which is unfortunate cause I hear they do good tattoos. Yet communication with them is a pain and a drawing I wanted cost me 50 bucks, which wouldnt be a problem if they didnt make me wait almost a week later than they said it would take. I understand you may be a good tattoo artist, but its the customers money that puts you in business, a little more appreciation and professionalism would help. Therefore I will not seek your services.

In reference to Arianas comment, they are probably some of the coolest and most friendly people. Im literally every minority, im italian, jamaican, and samoan. Im also pretty gay lol and they took amazing care of me when it came to my back tattoo. Adam did an amazing job and when i noticed there was a slight flaw, the offered to fix it for me with no extra charge whatsoever whenever i wanted to come in. I dont think any of them are racist. Thank you guys so much!

Loved the place. Plan to come back. There was a really nice chill environment and each person gets there own spot for privacy. I would like to add ( since I saw a ignorant review ) that there is NO!! racism in the shop with ANY of the staff. Im a minority and the entire staff treated me with the same courtesy and respect they did everyone else. Tread people like you like to be treated and it will be returned. `

Adam exceeded my expectations 18 years ago and did it again yesterday. He is quite simply the best. His colors are the brightest and he did an incredible job on the shading. He was very patient with me when it got a little too painful and the price was couldnt be better. His practice is also very clean. I am going back again next week, and I already have an idea of what I want next after that.

I have been going to this tattoo parlor for years, I couldnt ask for more when it comes to looking for a comfortable friendly environment. they are spotless clean always very professional, but yet give you the family-like vibe. not to mention all the artists are down to earth cool people with amazing talent. From Grandparents to Moms, Dads, Uncles, cousins and kids alike it seems everyone I know has been tattooed or has a family member or friend who had phenomenal work done at Big Joes Tattoos. Giving great customer service and outstanding work for generations!!!!

The tattoo artists were atrociously rude, I had to come and write a review. Not to mention their ridiculous prices! Save your time and energy, and find a different tattoo and piercing place because quite frankly, they are not worthy of any kind of clientele.

Ive only gone for a piercing but honestly, it couldnt have been a more pleasant experience as far as employees go. The piercing was a success. The shop is clean and Id recommend the place.
