Joanns is usually a mental safe haven for me where I go to blow off steam in all my crafting glory. But this location just makes me sad. I seldom give 2 stars. I love this chain but things went downhill real quick at the Westbury location. I guess they have a problem with carts being stolen because you need to leave a quarter deposit to use one. The place was a mess. Bolts of fabric sagging off the shelves, shoved in wherever, on the floor blocking the aisle. I actually started to pick them up myself. I know not every location has a price checker (which I wish they all had!) but I suppose the employee I asked was totally over people asking her that question. I think she even caught herself sounding rude for a moment and tried to feign politeness to conclude her answer. Regular items mixed into what seemed like a clearance section with no apparent price marker. Hence the price checker inquiry. Boxes of half unpacked inventory littered the back of the store, preventing any customer from accessing those items. Ive never seen a Joann Fabric in such disarray and I dont think I ever want to see it again.

Inadequate sales help resulting in long cutting lines, longer check out lines and overall unhelpful, inexperienced customer service. Ive witnessed people leaving their shopped items and walking right out of the door when eyeing the cutting table line. Last year a gentlemen had two bolts of velvet he wanted cut and when he saw only one person cutting and the length of the line he left. Last night I did the same. Are you paying attention corporate?

3 stars because I was able to find some of the items I needed, but I didnt feel very comfortable due to the staff. They werent very friendly or approachable, which was very disappointing as it was my first time visiting. I always hear great things about the Jo-Ann stores and was excited about finally getting a chance to go, but that was short lived. Cant say that I will revisit this particular store any time soon.

I and my mom had visited the store for her hobby. She was overwhelmed with the great selection of sewing supplies. Everything a hobby enthusiasts could ask for. Lots of patterns and fabrics and Essentials associated with sewing. And seasonal decorating crafts.

Great place with GREAT discounts. If you do any kind of art you may find something to find to help your art out. This store is the same all over and I dig that facet. I know what I am getting no matter what State I am in.

I saw who I thought was Charles Bukowski here, which was awesome. Otherwise the selection of knick-knacks was fine. Fine wooden ducks for a rustic feel, and owl candies and childrens puzzles.
