I went to the Westbury, NY store today 12/30/2016 to double check the frame I order two days ago 12/28/2016 for a canvas print of my dog. I had the pleasure to meet Julia at the framing desk. With her assistance we found out to my surprise the frame I order with the help of Patrick did not match the print at all, in fact it’s not remotely a close match. Julia then helps me pick out a replacements frame, and this is where the entire pleasantry ends. She refused to amend and or cancel the original order and place a new order for the new frame! I spent several minuets pleading for her assistance to at least try to do something, but she just stood there insisting she cannot make the changes. After a while she realizes I would not leave, so she made a phone call and the person on the other end ask her to fax a cancelation order. I assume she did and so she had me wait half an hour before she would call to check on the status. No surprise the other person never did receive the fax. At this point she asks me to leave and she will call me once the order is canceled with no guarantee. During this time she would assist other customers and just keep me waiting. Finally I realize she was not going to help me, I ask to speak to manager. It took the manager 10 seconds to listen and tell her to cancel the first order and place the new order, after more than one hour later! So the changes was made and I ask Julia to add two new stock frames I pick up while waiting, she said she can’t and I would have to go to the cashier in front of the store. Of course I did not purchase the stock frames. Wow, what an experience!

Went looking for Sharpie oil based markers & only saw CraftSmart brand (Which I dont like) in aisle 30. Asked a worker who told me up near the register. I go and look couldnt find them asked another worker and she tried to tell me aisle 30. Told her no all you have is CraftSmart there and told her I was told theyre up by register. Takes me to the corner all the way in the back past the jewelry and it was behind a gate. Picked up a white and looked like some water got on the package & dried. Had to ask her if there was a better one, as that was the last white hanging. She had to search the pile on the ground for one. So strange, guess it varies by store as the markers are hanging on aisle ends in another nearby Michaels. Dont forget on their site for coupons like a 40% 1 item!

I dont expect much from Michaels other than to give me my yarn so I can GTFO. This particular location gets a lot less traffic than other locations in Queens and Manhattan. Unfortunately it doesnt make up for this lower volume with increased customer service. I found some of the staff to be relatively unhelpful and unfriendly. But I can get over that since there arent enough affordable craft stores in NYC.

Theyve got a wide variety of "do it yourself" inventory. Everything you can think of, from paint, to model cars, and googly eyes. If youve got a crafting project this is the place to go. The only draw back is it may take a while to find what you need because nothing is clearly labeled. Great stock though.

Easy parking but not easy to find ( buried back b/t Home Depot and Fairway). Big, clean, helpful staff, good coupons, good selection. Only reason it didnt get 5 stars is theyre priced a bit high. But thats the price you pay to be able to go in and actually see/touch the products.

GREAT location, GREAT store, PLENTY of stock, LOTS of variety. There is not enough can tell about this outlet. They have an incredible assortment of arts and crafts material and great holiday section as well. Hands down this is the best art supply store around.

Very nice store with helpful staff. I appreciated the help I received from an associate on the floor as well as cashier in the front. Found the items I needed at a great price plus coupon savings. Havent had a bad Michaels experience yet.

This is the biggest craft store, they have all King of thing you might like or need to do. They have more choice therefore have to spend time looking. Very few staff available when we were there. My wife likes to go there.

Friendly staff most of the time - only had issues on a couple of occasions. Many opportunities for discounts if visiting during the right times of month. Good place to pick up stuff for class parents.
