I started going here for some big purchases (3 laptops, various computer peripherals, accessories, other electronics, etc) in 2011, despite the negative reviews I saw here when I Googled their phone number and address. Well here I am a few months later adding my 2 cents. I feel like Ive given this store plenty of chances and almost every time I walk away disappointed in their service. Example? Last month, my friend and I needed a specific camcorder for a job. The Best Buy web site says this store has it in stock. We make the trip there, look at the display model, the sales guy tells us all about it, the whole bit. Then he goes to get us one after we agreed to purchase and... couldnt find it. He spent 15 minutes trying to find it because the computer said there was one there but it was nowhere to be found. After that, he says well he can give us the display model at a discount. So we agree to that - we were flying out to California the next day and really needed to get this camera. Well after spending another 15-20 minutes looking for the box and accessories for the display model, that also could not be found. In the end we left there with no camcorder and basically wasting an hour in the store for nothing. And that isnt counting the 30 minutes each way to get there and back. Ive also had issues with the Geek Squad services. I cant say I will never go back to this store again (its basically them or Staples around here if you want to check something out in person). I also cant say that everything they do is bad. They just arent my first choice and I cannot fully recommend them to others, based on my own experiences. Case in point, Im in the market for a high end tablet right now and am ready to buy. I WANT to get it from here, but again, based on my experiences with the store and extended warranty services, I feel very hesitant to purchase from them. I now tend check other places like Staples, the mall, etc first and only go here if I absolutely have to, which is just... disappointing.

I only wish I had read this before I went there. I bought my first new car. A 2011 Kia Soul. I investigate Remote car starters and never considered Best Buy. My wife checked out a blog where someone noted they were going to best buy as they got a really good price on a Viper starter so I investigate the Viper remote starter only. Called, made an appt and dropped off car. What a mistake. They told me 2.5 hours for cars. 4.5 hours later, at close, and I waited, they said, car was done. On the ride home, all radio and steering wheel lights stopped working. But only when using turn signal. I called and the person answering the phone said, oh, just bring it back tomorrow. I called and brought back the next day. TODAY, 11/13/11. I dropped it off and walked around for another 2 hours shopping in plaza. I go back and a different tech said, Fixed, doesnt know what was wrong but its fixed. I get in car. Same problem. I drive it right back. After 20 minutes, Marc, the lead tech, tells me, Its a problem with my car and I need to take it to the dealership. I had been very calm up until this point but got very upset now. I have wasted 2 days on this car starter and now they tell me its my problem and to go see the dealership. When I said I never had this problem before and car is Brand new, he left with no warning. After 15 minutes he returned saying, he talked to a supervisor and they will contact the dealership to see what needs to be done to fix my car. I said, that is all great, but at this point, I have to return again and possibly the dealership too, I should get some kind of credit off the $220 I paid for installation. He said he would talk to the manager and get back to me. So now wait to see if they step up or I get screwed. Take me from me. Its not worth going here. -John S. 2011 Kia Soul Owner

The only thing I like about this store is the decent selection of electronics you can test and touch in person. As for customer service, I agree with the multitude, it is less than desirable to say the least. Their delivery guy called me to say they had a reschedule and wondered if I could have them come earlier, I declined and then he said they would be there at 4:00 sharp. He gave me attitude because I requested they come about 30mins after as the notes say, and he said we need to be available at the earliest time because they dont want to be sitting around any longer than necessary. Im like I just made a huge purchase and you cant accommodate us for a measly 30 minutes? We went back and forth until i said if you come at 4:00 and leave because no one is there (as I already said0, we will take our business elsewhere, he replied "that would be up to you". (In other words, i dont give a crap if you do.) Seriously? That is craziness, looking at other places to take our business

Overall, shopping at Best Buy has generally been a positive experience. I am a firm believer that their computer maintenance plan is the best value for the money that Ive ever seen. In todays environment, with technology becoming more and more involved, having the Geek Squad in your bullpen is an absolute necessity. Staff is generally knowledgeable, friendly and ready to offer service. Ive noticed lately that fewer items seem to be in stock in large quantities and they steer you to buying online -- no shipping charges and fairly quick delivery but the feeling of "instant gratification" suffers. Still, one of the best "brick and mortar" stores around.

Absolutely useless. Ive purchased nearly 20k worth of appliances and home theater from them and everything Ive purchased has issues or some sort or another. Their install team are a bunch of fly by night amateurs who will leave your home damaged and your install half done. Their product support team they transfer you to will just tell you to handle any questions or concerns in store and the in store help will try to up sell you on products you dont need or want, let alone anything they have any real knowledge about. The place is a joke, but the real punchline is their customer service. I cant wait till the doors close for good.

The layout of this particular location is absolutely horrid. It is complicated to find things and when you do they are not where they would be in other best buy stores. Because of the smaller size of the store everything is sort of jammed into the small space there and it makes it harder to look for items because you are constantly being forced to move so people can keep getting by. The store itself is elongated in nature flowing front to back instead of the typical "big box" format it is more of a "shoe box" format.

This specific store seems to have a strange layout and it seems odd that nothing is ever where I expect it to be. The staff are fairly uneducated depending on who you get. Ive had some be very helpful and on point with their knowledge and some are just either confused or say incorrect things instead of just admitting that they dont know the answer. Some employees dont even seem to have a good grasp of the layout. I try to avoid going to Best Buy whenever possible and order things through Amazon or monoprice when I can.
