I have a love and hate relationship with this store.. But today it wasnt love for sure..i was yelled at because i wanted to return smth that was bought 10min ago. Since when it is a crime to return smth. So If i returned it the next day it wouldve made it better?! I waited a lot in line to make the return and then she yells at me that i created a line, wow. Im speechless! So letting the customer before me to run to her car to get the wallet didnt create a line but i did. Crazy. Wish i was just asked nicely for my reason to return and thats it. Her attitude her angry face and her yelling was unnecessary. And she is not even a good cashier she is slow doesnt ask for store cards, doesnt pay attention and starts charging me for the next costumers produce, doesnt know the prices. I am always patient and nice to her even when i have to wait extra because she needs to ask around but she is definitely not to me. Lesson learned. Shopping there is not a pleasant environment. Everyone is unhappy when they see a customer.

If you ignore Nazi Swastikas on the walls and security guard that stalks you throughout the store - its a great place. You can experience the true nature of a Russian culture by just observing staff and customers. Countless waves of rude customers, intriguing smells of international foods and unforgettable russian music will bring you into the world of an average Russian cobbler. Although some may think that atmosphere is unpleasant, but you will be surprised how authentic it feels for a true Russian customer. Prevalent ethics of the society are staying outside as you entrance the store. Yelling grandmothers, rude bodybuilders wearing Adidas suit, nothing will give you the feeling of a true Russian vibe like Netcost.

I bought a cottage cheese which turned out to be moldy and rotten! When I brought that cheese back for return (non opened), the front manager Nikita in caddish manner refused returning the money saying that they have 48 hours return policy! On food items which they sold moldy! Complete brainless front manager having no experience of the customer service! That case is worth a report 311 to Food and Health to inspect NetCost Market on Staten Island because of selling rotten dairy products which could cause food poisoning!

when in doubt.. Every time something is spoiled. First i thought it was just cooked food. Then i made a mistake of buying t-bone steaks for a family get-together. Perfectly planned meal ruined because the meat has gone bad inside. I never had this problem with traders, costco, superfresh, stop and shot. Safe things to buy there are bread, veggies, or dairy. Overall, just shop somewhere else - unless you dont mind suddenly spitting out food because its spoiled.

The quality of the food bar is not so good !!!! Often some salads are spoiled already and when mentioned to the chef he politely ignored the comment. The famous Russian desserts became a plain American sponge cake, that you will find for less in the supermarket. The prices went up while the quality stayed same or less!!!!! How ever the people working there are very nice and attentive!

Great selection of primarily european food. Many different fresh items available. Clean and staff was friendly. Lots of Russian snacks and chocolate which my wife loved. What I loved was their beer selection. Not very big but anyone who loves German beer or beer from Europe would not be disappointed.

Poor quality of people.they dont speak the language and expect you to speak russian.Maybe they do have nice European products but all employers are rude and not paying attention to customers.They literally can step on you and dont know how to apologize. BAD experience!

The service is terrible I was waiting for someone to come over to the bread section where they cut the bread for over 20 min while around me there were at least 7 or 8 staff members who couldve helped me and this is not the first time this has happened

They have food from Russia, Ukraine, Israel, Poland, Estonia, Turkey and some other countries. Also regular meet, fruits and vegetables. Its "Russian " Bella market. Wish they had a place to sit at the table and eat, like they have at Bella.
