Somers Pharmacy is the shining reason big box retailers will never kill Main Street. Having been introduced to the owners Matt and Tim when my mother relocated to Somers in 1984, Im now a thankful and happy customer nearly 30 years later. All that is good about locally owned and operated retail stores is embodied in the personal and caring service of Matt and Tim and their wonderful staff. Sure theres more stuff in the CVS but there isnt any heart. While Matt has recently retired, Howie and June and other long time staff have stepped up and kept the personal touch.

was filling my prescription with this wonderful store for over a year and suddenly one day they couldnt get my medicine anymore and instead of helping me locate a pharmacy or giving me any explanation as to why they couldnt they simply hung up on me. at the time i actually felt hurt because i knew each pharmacist by name and loved the family atmosphere of the place. CVS gets the job done but doesnt have the family owned style i liked.

The staff knows me by name and always go the extra mile to help their customers. They return phone calls and follow up - something CVS would never do. The newly refreshed interior looks great.

Located close to a community with many seniors and pharmacy staff is always patient and attentive to make sure patients understand important information about the medication they are taking, and always willing to go the extra mile regarding insurance, issues with fills, etc...

Rude staff...very rude... They treat those who are 55 and older if you see them for psychiatric reasons stay away because they pick and choose which medications they have on stock. I was hurt because I knew the staff..I would stay away.

Been going here for 25 years and have never been unhappy until the last year. New staff members are rude, ignore you and just dont care so I have walked out. They just dont care.
