The rear brakes on my wifes car were grinding so I took it in to this shop at 8am. they called me back told me I needed rear pads, rotors and calipers and one of the rear shocks was leaking. Now Im not a mechanic, but I think I know enough about cars and I know the service history of this car which has 180000 miles and I said to go ahead with the repair, I got a call little later that I needed a spindle, that one of the bolts was broken and it was in my service history. This was the first time I had heard abou this, we discussed cost and if it could be done in one day, and they said yes, and I told them to fix this also. At 3pm I called them and I was told it would be another hour and I told them I woul pick it up at 5pm. I got there around 5:20 pm and was told it would be done in 10 minutes. A few minutes before closing I was told the car was ready. I paid and drove away, as soon as I left the abs and esp light came on, I turned around and went back to the shop, and then was told they originally got the spindle for the wrong car and found that out after installation and the tried to back the car out of the bay, so they had get the right part and installed it but the axle had the wrong wiring harness and they were going to replace it the next day and it would take 10 minutes. I go back the next day they replace the harness and I can see them trying to clear the lights with a scan tool, they tell me the car is fixed, I drive away and the same thing happens as the day before. I bring the car back and the car goes back in the bay. I now become the invisible man, I had been dealing with joe one of the assistant managers who had been very apologetic and I had offered to leave and come back, but I was told it would be fairly quick, about four hours later I was told that when they installed the wrong rear spindle they damaged the sensors and I needed a new rear axle and they would do that at no charge, but they needed to get the part from NJ and it would be there the next day. Day three I get there and I offered to leave the car and was told it would only take about 45 minutes several hours later the car is done and as I drive home I hear the same grinding noise I originally took the car in for, so I took it back on day four and spoke to joe and explained the problem and on day one he told me he was going to give me three free oil changes written on the back of his card, so I asked him for the oil change. I got a call back and they told me it was some sort of shield rubbing on something and they fixed the problem. So I picked the car and noticed the oil change wasnt done and I decided it was best to leave. I understand that the shop is busy and everybody wants their car asap but Id rather they took their time and get it right the first time than have to go back four straight days. Im just glad I have the car back, but theres no way I would go back for anything else. I feel their mechanics got to practice fixing my car

They could have KILLED someone!!! DO NOT GO TO MAVIS!!! They installed my sons tire and broke the front brake line. Luckily we live close by and he made it home just as the brakes gave out. Manager Gino Dambrosio did not return our calls and when confronted denied all responsibility stating it was "not possible". I spoke to three mechanics, all confirming that the brake line could only have been damaged in the Mavis Discount Tire Shop. A conclusion I came to myself after removing the tire Mavis installed. The only recourse they would concede to was to pay for the new brake line WE installed ourselves. Is anyones life worth $29.95? Not even a sorry. Gino, you are a deplorable excuse for a man, hope you live out the rest of your existence with the smell of rubbers in that sh*^^¥ shop.

The crew here doesnt care. I just got my new tire as I had a flat. When they pulled my car out I noticed scratches on my rim. Upon inspecting you can feel the scratches are fresh. Theres a big one that you can touch and see how the stuff is peeling off that big gash on the rim. They didnt even balance the tire properly. The thing they put on to balance fell off the tire. They didnt even put on the bolt cap back on and when I said wheres the bolt cap the guy said oh I was rushing in so let me grab that. I am filing a complaint against this location. Will never go back to Shirley location !!

1. If you do not bring the receipt on the work they did on your car they will LIE to you that there is no record of the work they did. When I brought the receipt, suddenly they were able to find the record on the computer. 2. One of my four tires, which they replaced last year went very bad in less than half of the mileage they warranteed. They also did the wheel alignment THEY DID NOT HONOR THE WARRANTY. They lost a customer who was servicing four cars with them.. Big deal, they will replace me with another customer who has been treated badly by some other crook.

I did not like Mavis in Shirley at all. The alleged mechanic rip both sides under the wheel well the protector that shield the weather from the undercarriage. The PRICE to repair what was wrong was through the roof. Another repair shop did it for $230.00 less! Manager was not a happy person. No eye contact with the customer. It was as if he was a RINGMASTER at a CIRCUS. Instead of Mavis in should start with Circus Mavis Tires. I will tell 10 people, those 10 will inform another 10 and so on. I told SO MANY more then 10!

The service was so slow! They took in other people before me when I was there first. I just asked for them to look at my car and I waited an over an hour for them to bring my car in. Then they tried to make me get work done to my car that I didnt need so I left with no brakes on my car because they refused to put them on. Ive been going to Mavis for so many years and this shop is the only one I dont like! Im finding a different Mavis to go to right now.

They were awesome. Car was done pretty fast. theres stores nearby to kill time. They didnt bother me with the bs of a lightbulb being out on my license plate and my air filter like most places do. The price was great as well. I saved about $100 by going to them for tires and alignment.

I waited nearly 5 hours to get a tire changed with an appointment. Additionally after finally getting the car back the spare tire was thrown into the back of my cab and the grease destroyed my seats and I was stuck putting it back up under the car myself.
