To Mall or Not to Mall. That is the question. I remember when Marketplace was the newest mall in the area, sparkling and clean with lots of new stores. It is still clean, dont get my wrong. They do a good job of keeping it up. However, it has lost its new car smell. They have a good amount of empty store fronts right now. There is mention of it turning into more of an outlet mall and that would be cool. People are looking for a deal. I tend to only shop there when I know one of the stores is having a big sale. It is still a good place to go to get out of the cold/rain/other inclement weather to walk. I still see people doing that all the time. You need that in NY. It is free use of a track without having to brave the weather. The play area in the middle is nice for younger kids. The food court is still a staple for many people looking for something quick and you really cant beat walking around with an Auntie Annes pretzel. YUM! So, its okay. Its not stellar and its not the worst. I will continue to shop there as long as their doors are open and they have good stores and good deals.

Went to the Body shop and purchased perfume with natural ingredients. Buy 3 get 3 free. The sales associate was a bomb ass red headed chick. Mad down to earth. Went to NY & Company and purchased 3 dresses from their new line for $70. I saved $97 off the original price. The mall was one story only and had 5 branches like tentacles each leading to a dead end of stores. To get to the other tentacles you had to come back to the center. We also went to the mini golf place. They have a game where lasers are obstacles to which one must negotiate to win. The directions werent clearly visible and the dude at the counter wasnt to interested in helping us despite calling to him several times for help with what we were supposed to do. The game couldve been fun but it was ultimately a wack experience.

I now try to avoid having to go here as much as possible. Over the years, the amount of fights increases and the crowds that linger are just enough to make your shopping experience uncomfortable. They have added some interesting stores, including a go-kart racing track. But overall the mall seems to be missing the lackluster appeal. The stores you wish you could get to from within the mall are actually not a physical part of the mall at all. So, youll be in for moving your vehicle or walking. This is just an example of awkward development. There are a few good selections for food at the food court as well as some fine dining restaurants.

We had an amazing dinner at The Melting Pot. The waiter, Ben, was very helpful, attentive and anxious to help make our dining experience the absolte best!! He informed us of the meal otions, best days to suit our dining preferences and offering any possible assistance to insure our return in the near future. Ben is a true asset and a Ben that showed his dedication to the customer and to his empoyer at the same time!! I will be recommending this restaurant to anyone looking for an exceptional place to have a wonderful meal, from appetizers to desserts, The Melting Pot is second to none!!

Its a mall, Im selective in the places I go so I cant really speak too much about this. However, the only reason I did not give this mall five stars is that the atmosphere is not as nice as some other malls. Other than store selection and environment Im not sure how to review a mall. Oh, I can add that I utilized the electric cart rental and they were very supportive. I had surgery and was on crutches at the time, the process was very painless, just needed a photo ID and a deposit if I recall correctly.

Everything is becoming an outlet store. Honestly half the store are empty and if they do have something in them they are just silly. What mall needs an indoor black Light mini golf course? I guess if I want to go to the nice real store Ill have to travel further for them. The place has gone down him in the past few years.. it doesnt feel the same as it use to. Also alot of the stores were very messy. I hope this doesnt turn into another medley center.

They were very helpful when my son keys were lockup in his car, at the The Marketplace Mall and they were very polite and the security officer gave me some idea where to shop at and that I was very thankful for there help. Thank you securitys officers and maintenance man for your help at the mall all is appreciated and for you security officer for making me smile security office and for making me laugh and again I say thank you all for your help.

I used to work here over a year ago and I recently visited to do some shopping, this place has gone downhill fast. There is so many vacant stores, some stores that are there are so weird and useless (mini golf...?) the people who shop here are mainly young people from the city so that makes the atmosphere unpleasant. Id much rather just go to eastview.

Not a mall person. Hard to find your way around, very little staff to guide you. No one seemed to know where the bus stop was-- and the bus service doesnt seem to go very regularly in the afternoon, but if you have to go to the mall, then at least this place has a lot of decent stores to choose from and find a good deal.

Sure why not. Its a big mall with a lot to offer. Could use more than one bus stop tho, so people dont have to trek around the entire CLOSED mall to catch a bus in Rochester weather. Its nice to have choices. Which makes having this mall and area nice for me, because I dont really need to come out here. Its a choice.

Theres only a few selective stores that would go to in this mall. There are quite a few stores closing and it doesnt leave the shopper with much of a choice as to where they should go for their style of clothing. I prefer eastview even though the walk is like walking down Israel with sandals but its worth it.

I used to work here. Theyre not the cleanest or friendliest. The style is a bit outdated, especially in Macys. Not a favorite but is close to home and has good chain stores. It plesently kills time but gets old quick. Go to Greece instead, it has more stores and selection and looks much better.

I live in the area and I havent been to this mall in years. It used to be nice but now most good stores moved out. Its nice if you like it really quiet, foot traffic is light. It mostly turned into low level restaurants and gaming businesses such ad indoor go cart and dave and busters.

A horrible experience at T-Mobile I was in line first they serve someone else employees looked at me and gave me the old are you with her and then a person who stood there for 10 minutes finally came up to me and asked me if I needed help at that point I figured it just dont feel right
