Id really like to give Boulder 3.5 stars, but thats not an option. I appreciate that its a local business, so I really do want them to succeed. Food is pretty good, but expensive. I must disagree with the assessment in other reviews of the chai as "the best." It comes from a powdered mix, which means its main ingredient is probably sugar, and it almost always leaves a grainy residue in the last few sips. Coffee drinkers would be up in arms if their coffee came from granules! I realize we chai drinkers are a small minority, but we tend to be picky about our chai, especially because the person making it often has never drunk it, so they dont really know what theyre making. I cant tell you how many lukewarm, nasty chais Ive gotten from all over the place, so this is a big pet peeve of mine. Boulder really needs to use a liquid concentrate. I know Starbucks owns Tazo, so they arent able to use the most common/popular concentrate, but there are others on the market that have to be better. Or, they could brew their own. Not really that difficult, just black tea + spices. I do appreciate the steamed milk though. I like the ambiance, but I often find myself cold when the air conditioning is running. Of course, I get cold everywhere, so I should probably just bring a sweater. Not a big fan of the booths right between the door and the counter. Ive been stuck sitting there on busy days, and its uncomfortable to be right in the middle of the room. Every time I leave Boulder, my clothes and everything I brought it with me have this weird musty food smell. Not like coffee, which I enjoy the smell of, but similar to the way my clothes used to smell after a long day working at a restaurant. Ick. The staff is friendly and will bring your food right out to your table. I dont mind having to buy something to use the wireless--If I want free Internet, I can go to the library.

Student-painted art on the walls, Christmas lights hanging from the air ducts, sheet metal counters and a mishmash of different tables, chairs, couches and stools that would make your redneck uncles backyard look orderly; these are just a few of the things that make this place unique. Its a funky little café, that looks like it was designed to buck every trend of today. A small stage sits on the back wall, with speakers and lights set up for a small live performance to play. The place just feels lively, even though its usually very quiet. The staff is very nice, the place is comfortable, and its overall a great place to try, whether you just want a quick bite or to get a coffee and a place to work. Oh, right, this place serves coffee, too. The coffees pretty decent. Not amazing, but certainly enjoyable.

Overall a mediocre coffee shop. Its not particularly clean or nice inside, and some the tables are wobbly which can be annoying if youre trying to do work on them. I cant speak to the bar and night scene, but its hardly ever crowded and you can usually find a seat. The coffee is so-so, I had a café au lait, and it was weaker than I usually prefer, though it could be a matter of taste. The biggest thing that stops me from going here is the customer service, Ive never felt particularly welcome by the staff, who have always seemed to be busy either talking to other staff or fixing issues in the kitchen.

Been there a couple times, as we live around the corner and never once have we gotten good service. The staff always seems to have an attitude, as if you are bothering them. My husband recently went in he get an ice coffee and a couple cuos of water for the dogs. The women working acted like it was a huge expense to give a couple cuos of water for the dogs. My husband had to PAY for the cups and water and when he asked for the drink tray she took one out of the garbage. Needless to say they have lost our business for good. Its too bad, we try to support local business.

Brue could benefit from more seating, but maybe the aesthetic is valued more here? Great coffee, good food, and locally owned. Good place for college students to sit and study because there are power outlets all along the wall. Edit: some of the newer staff are untrained on making drinks, but they are very gracious and always want to improve the customers experience Edit #2: I have to add that the big red couch is actually the most comfortable sitting experience of my life and I wish I had it in my own home for napping purposes.

Initially went thinking it was still Boulder Coffee, which I LOVED. When I realized it had a new name I was still willing to try it. Big regret. The only person on staff barely acknowledged that I was at the counter about to order. When I had a question about a drink she seemed frustrated that I asked. Drink was ok. Not worth the funky attitude that accompanied it. I can get a better drink much cheaper without the attitude on the side elsewhere. Wont be coming back here.

Tasty, the coffee tends to be somewhat nutty...but the food is fabulous. The paninis are around nine dollars, and a large chai tea is five; so its a tad expensive, but you pay for the enviornment. If youre looking for a place to relax and have fun with your friends and around UofR campus, this place is wonderful.

Service is decent. Furnature tends to be very dirty- I hope thats not the look they are going for (things were cleaner when they first opened). You have to purchase something in order to use the Internet- they change the password everyday which is annoying.

Delicious coffee and food with a great atmosphere for a good value. It definitely has a more college friendly vibe, but the times Ive been there, its never been loud or distracting. Its an ideal place to settle down with a good book and relax.

WAY over priced! All I bought was a sandwich and it comes with a side salad, I paid almost $10! The side salad consists of a few leaves of lettuce and a half of a tomato slice, not even a full slice. The sandwiches are very small as well.

The service isnt that bad. I find it to be a great place work on school assignments while having coffee with something light to eat while I get work done. I just wish that some of the prices were a bit lower, since I go there frequently.

Boulder is a great coffee shop in this neighborhood, with a great and unique atmosphere. Unfortunately, theyre moving across the street. The food is okay but a bit more expensive than Id like to see for the amount you get.

Great atmosphere, nice baristas and a better than decent cup of coffee. A little on the pricey side. But coffee is good and food is delicious. Try their cold brew
