My 2014 Jeep Rubicon was having issues with the battery keeping a charge. I was afraid to drive it up to Saugerties to the dealer where I purchased the Jeep so I called Dutchess Dodge after talking to my dealer and finding out it was under warranty. The girl in the service department informed me that they wouldnt give me an appointment until Wednesday, which was 5 days from the time I called. I informed her that the car had died three times in the past few days and left me stranded with my seven month old and that I was afraid to drive it to Saugerties to the dealer because that was 45 minutes away and I feared that I would get stuck again. She put me on hold and then Keith in Service came on the line. I explained my dilemma and he stated that there were no appointments till Wednesday. He then told me I could drop it off in a rude tone and they would get to it when they could. I asked about a loaner car as this was my only means of transportation. His response was "you didnt buy the car from here" "We dont just give loaners to anyone". There was no attempt to provide good customer service what so ever!!!! I informed him that I had originally come to buy the jeep from them in July of 2014 but since the salesperson talked down to me (made me feel as if I couldnt afford the Jeep even though he hadnt run my financials or my credit and had no idea of my income) I went else where to purchase the vehicle. I would never buy a vehicle from Dutchess Chrysler Jeep Dodge even though it is 5 minutes away. I would rather drive the 45 minutes to Sawyer Motors in Saugerties who took me with no appointment, talked to me with respect, gave me the complimentary oil change that I never took advantage of when I purchased the car a year and a half earlier and apologized for the wait due to the diagnostic test they had to run to ensure it was the battery. If you are looking for a Jeep or any other car for that matter STAY FAR AWAY from this dealership!

I made a Sunday appointment 4 days before may walk in, just because that this dealer is 2 hrs away from me and I wanted to make sure that everything is arranged nicely. After the appointment, even though the lady on the phone claimed again and again that shes going to send me an invite on my calendar, which she never did. So I utilized my Sunday, and drove 2 hours to the place, the moment I walked into the showroom, there is a sales guy leaning on the counter playing with his cellphone. When I started talking to him regarding my appointment, his eyes never took off from his cellphone, like never, not even a single second. I felt like that I was talking to a tire. Finally he was able to let go his Pokemon and started looking for the key for the vehicle. Half hour later he came back to me saying THE VEHICLE WAS SOLD. This is really brilliant. I dont know whats the point of making appointment ahead of time, leaving my email and phone number just in case, driving 2 hours to the place just to be told that the car I was interested in, which has been on the lot for more than 100 days, was just sold one day before I walked in. Dont you guys use phones to let people know? they dont even have a calendar, all appointments were put on different colored papers, with different sizes and all kinds of random things written on it. I think they are also running out of paper. No management whatsoever.

Sold me a used car about 20,000 miles on it with a warranty. Drove out of the parking lot the service engine light came on, it had a broken axle, ball joints and from those issues the tires would not pass inspection because they were bald on the inside(could not see it unless it was on a lift or you were looking for it). Even though all of these issues were reported within a week of purchasing the car, they would not cover it because they couldnt see the problems on their inspections. After weeks of talking to them over and over, numerous different inspections at different shops to confirm the problem, they finally paid for one tire if I bought the rest of the tires there. Lol Not a good resolution and I was not giving them anymore money! I had to have everything fixed elsewhere at my own expense to drive the car that was just purchased and had a warranty.. Really bad service buyers beware. The people and managers were nasty, short and rude. I have purchased many cars from other dealers never had a disturbing experience like this.

Nothing!...I purchased a brand new Dodge Ram w/ all bells and whistles and customer service after the sale has been horrendous. The actual items listed on window sticker turned out to be quite deceiving and cost me more money because the Chrysler Corp would not honor the sticker w/ its false listing. Bedliner wasnt installed on the SCHEDULED DAY OF PICK UP......lost time from work. I had to pay a portion of replacement of defective front and back rotors and there was only 20k miles on the truck. Plus...the fog lamp went out 3 months after i purchased vehicle and they didnt even have the replacement part....had to wait 3 weeks...had to call and check ..no one called me. Now I am currently waiting 3 weeks for a part to my bowl for the windshield wiper fluid...that they broke on my maintenance service...so you tell me...is this normal?

I bought a car from Dutchess Cars about a month ago. It was the best car buying experience I could of asked for. The salesmen(Brian&Brandon) were incrediblely nice and informative, and was not at all pushy for me to sign or leave with the car that day and gave me time to think about my purchase unlike other dealerships I went to. The finance dept. helped me with my issues and successfully was able to get the car I wanted financed with almost not hassle. I recently had my car checked out by their service department and had the problem solved and fixed within an hour, as well as to alerting me to something that I did not know about. All in all, Dutchess Cars, for me, was a very great place to buy my car, and get it serviced. Thanks Dutchess Cars!

I recently purchased a Jeep from them and was terribly disappointed. The salesman was both pushy and aloof. When I finally got the car I had to ask about how to use my remote starter and was still not clear after he had told me. Terrible. I chalked a lot of the encounters up to the fact that this is a dealership and they will always be shady. But all of the issues combined left a bad taste and I will not speak one kind word. I also recently found out they never submitted my registration and the temporary expires in one week, I have had the car for over a month and just found out about this. I had to go up there just to receive another temporary that also expires in one week. I would avoid them at all costs unless you enjoy headaches.
