Butcher Boy is not only selling overpriced products, but the owners are heartless. A friend of mine who has an incredible work ethic and an even better loving and friendly personality, was fired from this place after 31 years of dedicated service! She broke her hip and went back to work after only three weeks. Thats the type of person she is. Yet these guys sent her off crying with a cup of coffee and a stale cookie!! They probably hired someone younger and for a lot less money during her absence. Regardless, I would NEVER support these people. Tuscany Gourmet Market has MUCH better quality meat and its just down the road. Setauket Quality Meats is also a far better choice than those "Butcher Boys." Ill give them one star only because in a grading system one star denotes the lowest class or quality. They are certainly low class.

I want to give NO stars but the site wont let me do that..From what I have been told - If the way they treat their employees is any indication of how they care about their customers I would not step foot in this store. Barbara, a 30 year employee was " let go" without notice, with a reason told to her because they wouldnt honor her vacation request for a week away with her older sisters (80 & 90 year old) at a reunion in VA, they wouldnt approve 2 saturdays off after she has worked more weekends than any of us can count all these years. Disgraceful way to treat someone who has been so loyal & good to the customers all these years ..Shame on them !!!!

Very sad rick!! 30 years she was there and a 73 year old employee needed some time off to spend with her elderly family ..as a business owner for over 30 years you and I both know you could of made it thru the couple of Saturdays with out her. Im thinking you were looking for an out ..you took it and hired some one cheaper ...and a pot of coffee and a cake.... thats how u fire some one? ...please ..you probably should thought of the impact this will have on your store..clients went there cause she was there...and now u will probably lie and tell them she retired...shame on you!!!!

I wouldnt feed the meat from this shop to my dog. 5 minutes east of this location is Tuscany Market....much higher quality, 5 minutes west Setauket Butcher....again much higher quality.

I would rather not say anything too bad on Google...but there are so many better places to use...off the block in Sayville is my new favorite place.

Service and respect for staff are poor. Food is decent but over priced. Specialty heros are often dry (chicken and balsamic)
