I had pen refills special ordered. I paid with a credit card and was told to bring the slip in when i picked it up. I received a phone call they were ready. I dutifully brought in the slip. The gal running the register snatched the slip from my hands - then proceeded to ask me what I was picking up. Um, okay - Pen refills. WHAT COLOR? blue WHAT BRAND? papermate - mind you - all this info is on the slip that they told me to bring in. There were probably 3 orders behind the counter - then she says - I NEED YOUR LICENSE. I show it to her - she says I NEED YOU TO TAKE IT OUT OF YOUR WALLET. I admit - im getting frustated; im simply picking up two small packages of pen refills. the paperwork was frustrating. The box was huge - with two lone refills in it. She takes them out - shows them to me then states: CAN YOU VERIFY THESE ARE WHAT YOU ORDERED. um, yes (JUST GIVE THEM TO ME is what im thinking)... more paperwork, signatures - i was ready for a full body search at this point. I take them - she slids the HUGE ridiculous box to me - and I say - cant i just leave this here? NO! IT VOILATES OUR 504 CODE. whatever, that means nothing to me. My thought is... really? is that the best customer service you can provide? i felt like a criminal picking up illegal products and i had to sign my life away. ill never go back there - id rather pay shipping than to deal with the craziness of violating some stupid inhouse 504 code.

I am an IT guru for a local business. I used to buy computer/peripherals (C&CP) from the Latham location on a regular basis--especially in emergencies. I recently purchased a laptop there to configure for one of our traveling executives. Unfortunately, it proved incompatible with the executives needs—so, within an hour of buying it, I brought it back for replacement. The manager on duty was miffed that I was returning the computer, and he complained that it cost them $50 to restock. Pbbbt! I was like--charge me for it! He was like--well, we dont do that. I was like, ok, so what are you saying? He was like--ok, well take it back, but dont come back here again. I was like--so, is this sale final? He was like--no, but if you have a problem with this computer, take it someplace else. I mean--this guy clearly didn’t know who is dealing with. Anyway—I’m banned from the store in Latham, but I wouldnt go back there anyway. I like Staples a lot--its one of my favorite places to go on weekends (weeknights) to browse C&CP and think about what I would really get if I had an unlimited budget but I don’t, but the Latham store (management) needs work.

I have used this branchs Copy Center countless times in the last year for my retail stores printing needs and each and every time they have been fast, courteous and very knowledgeable. The one time I decided to use the Northway Mall stores Copy Center (I was nearby and thought I could save time), it was understaffed and overwhelmed- no fault of the CCs staff- and as a result, the copying took waaay longer than necessary. Also, they didnt seem to charge the same as the Latham Farms store (read:overcharged me). Whether this was intentional or an oversight, Im not sure. Wont be back there, though. Ive begun using the online copy ordering option and it has worked out very well. Even more time saved and the same great service when picking up. The manager, John knows his stuff and is always very helpful (his staff, too).

If you are going into this location please automatically expect these things to prepare yourself for this visit. Most employees are going to treat you like a piece of dirt and that customers or yourself doesnt matter in the slightest bit. I went in to collect a laptop that was long overdue for my boss and I was ridiculed for not knowing the policy that whoever dropped it off and signed must pick it up as well. Not only did I not know this policy but the attitude that came from this employees mouth sounded like I should have known. Honestly at this current time and moment I am in disbelief that myself, the customer would be treated like this. I sure do hope the owner sees this and clears out all the employees and tries again with competent employees.

We ordered some posters for a conference we are hosting and just couldnt beat this price for the quality. Not to mention they were ready in 2 business days and look great! The print manager, Glenn, was a pleasure to work with and really went above and beyond to make sure our order was perfect. Thank you! We will definitely be using Staples to help with quick jobs like this again.

We always go here for all our office and tech and printing and shipping needs. Staff are knowledgeable, friendly and available. They also will accept old printer cartridges, old printers, computers, etc. for recycling.
