Hannaford was MUCH better. Since becoming Tops, prices have gone up, selection has gone down, lines have gotten longer. On average I wait 5-10 minutes. Waiting at a cashier line at Hannaford more than 30 seconds was rare. Meanwhile the Tops self-scan registers are often empty. People mostly want to use a real person cashier. The staff (mostly the same from the Hannaford days) are still nice and helpful. The sales and gas points are a nice bonus, but Hannaford prices were consistently lower across the board. Many of the items I used to get in "medium" sizes are now only available in tiny or family size, with no in betweens. Several things I used to buy are suddenly gone.

This supermarket is a disaster. Hannaford was a much better supermarket in every aspect. Most people I know hate this place. Simply put, many items are overpriced, and the lack of selection is absolutely astounding. The deli meats are a joke. Whatever brand they are using is bottom of the barrel quality. All the product Ive bough with the Tops brand label is garbage compared to Hannaford brand products. I dont see this place getting better over time, I hope Im wrong.

Its hard to find a supermarket in my area of Dutchess County that isnt outrageously expensive...unless you want to travel 15 or 20 miles to BJs Warehouse or Walmart. My local Tops (formerly a Hannaford store) has nearly every item we need for daily living. The prices are better than any of those found at Stop & Shop or Price Chopper. Im a big fan of store-brand items and they are just as good as name-brands without the hefty price-tags.

Since the change from Hannafords, organic options have decreased. A member card is now required. The store was also rearranged in certain areas requiring visitors to learn the store layout again. The only good addition is that the store is 24hrs now for those emergency trips. Unfortunately, Im not impressed with the Tops brand. I had never heard of this company until the takeover of certain Hannafords and Stop & Shop centers.

I like tops. I liked Hannaford more but theyre not far off. Staff is friendly and they have good prices and deals. Plenty of registers are always open and they have a big self check out which makes picking up a couple items much easier after work.

Not Horrible, but they took over for Hannafords and I just cant stand it. You need a loyalty card for sales , must we do that. Tops brands arent great. Store has more limited selection now. Generally way way overpriced compared to other stores.

5 Star supermarket, has everything you could want and need. Extensive produce and bakery department as well as automatic savings since they dont believe in "Membership Cards" or "Discount programs" Self-Checkout is also a plus!

Clean, organized, terrific quality produce and meats and a wide selection of specialty foods - the cashiers are all so friendly and they even have staff available to take your groceries out to the car for you!

The former store was like the beautiful bride; this store is like the old maid battle ax. It aint nice. Get rid of loyalty card and lower the prices and selection needs upgrades
