My boyfriend and I bought a sectional sofa and tv stand, paid for April 2nd, but not picked up (due to needing to be ordered) until the last weekend in April. Both were kept in packaging and stored for the last couple of weeks until we were able to move to our new apartment. After beginning to move we discovered our couch was missing legs - this is inconvenient but not the end of the world - so we went Sunday morning to get the rest of them. They kindly gave them to us (only good experience, though we did find out that they werent the right ones - so we had to go back AGAIN). We then discover that our tv stand is missing the whole bottom shelf. We went to the Elmira store (closest to our new apartment, where we were when we started the assembly process) and the people there were WONDERFUL, they went out of their way to help us out. They unfortunately didnt have the piece but after calling a couple different stores they informed us that the Ithaca location had the piece, would pull it for us and put my name on it, I can walk in and pick it up the next day (Monday). When I got there I was treated with nothing but attitude and disrespect; they acted like they had no idea what I was talking about, I didnt have my receipt with me (was told everything was set and good to go) and they couldnt locate my purchase in their system, I was accused of lying about having purchased this piece of furniture, the manager wouldnt even come down to talk to me - absolute nonsense. My father called and was accused of trying to pull a fast one on them because "perhaps you broke it and are now trying to get us to replace it" (NO its just currently partially assembled all over my living room because Im unable to finish putting it together). NOW the worst part of this comes next - my boyfriend went in an hour after I had left after he got off work, he wasnt there 20 minutes (mind you, I spent an HOUR there prior to that) and the manager - whos name is apparently JP - was magically able to come down to talk, look up our purchase based on my name and zipcode, print it for him, and went out back to get the piece. We will NEVER return to this store after being treated the way that I was and will certainly never recommend this store to anyone else. No one was willing to do anything to help me out, but a male goes in and says exactly the same things I did and was immediately able to get what we needed. Absolutely ridiculous, avoid at all costs - go to the Elmira or Painted Post locations instead, its worth the drive.

Been going to big lots for years Great for little things! Often times, older electronics that are hard to find anymore are great priced at big lots and I dont have to wait for shipping. I am not sure whether or not to recommend the furniture, as I have never bought any.
