I am on the west coast and contacted Ted about a problem that I was experiencing with a competing service in a nearby town. I had paid with them to pick up a scientific instrument that I bought at auction and pack and ship for me. They picked up as planned, but did not ship when they told me they would. When they did not return my phone calls or e-mails. Out of frustration, I asked Ted, owner of The Shipping Place, to call them and arrange to pick it up and ship it to me. Ted called me back and told me that they would not return his calls either. His calls must have gotten their attention. They shipped it to me the next day which was 3 weeks after the pickup date. Although I was not able to use The Shipping Service, I would recommend them based upon the no-charge help Ted provided me.

I came in to sell back some of my text books instead of mailing them back for more. I was hoping to bring them in and get some more back instead of online. Not only did I receive a dollar for some books that were worth over $20 online, the man was incredibly rude and when he noticed that I was comparing prices he said "if youre going to do that then Im not going bother doing this". I hope he makes more off of them than I did, and treats his customers nicer!

The Shipping Place has helped me numerous times. When I have something that is very important that I need to ship, I go to Ted to pack it for me & I know that its going to arrive safely. Ive sent expensive things, big things & sentimental things on many occasions & hes always taken great care of us. I highly recommend that if you need some help shipping anything at all Ted at the Shipping Place is your guy!

I ALWAYS mail my packages from the Shipping Place. I never worry about a delivery to my destination. Im done with the USPS losing my mail. The service is always friendly and helpful , ready to answer any questions . If I dont have a box adequate to ship out , they help you any way they can and they get the job done. Terrible hours for a shipping place. How is anyone who works during the day supposed to take advantage of their services? They should consider asking UPS to put in a drop box outside the store at the very least
