Its ok, however, the difference between the cleanliness and quality of employees differs largely from the Stop & Shops from elsewhere in Long Island I feel. Their staff is rude, except for the fish & meat stations, and Ive never ordered from bakery. The staff from general shelving and self check-out stations can get argumentative because they get frustrated coming to customers for legitimate errors, Ive been targeted myself as one of those. Not a good thing when you see some overly agitated worker coming at you, especially that one girl. They also dont want to be working there, you can tell. There should be some basic courtesy towards all customers, deal with the messy customers another* way if they show that behavior, not prior to based on prejudged notion. And Ive noticed they scrutinize WOMEN vs the MALES at the checkout. I realized later, I felt anxious at checkout at this store, if I noticed a moody looking person working (which is like all the time). And its the WOMEN assist who are doing it, its really unethical of them. Im a pretty functional, but they get presumptuously worked up around someone they perceive as unable to keep the line moving, understand how to use checkout, keep lane clear for others. Its presumptuous, Im a smaller female, so they start coming at ME when the line has backed up, the person(s) ahead of you usually did something. And you can see the ridiculous employee you KNOW is about to come to you, youre senses are up, and sure enough... ugh, I have to hear that tone from a person you know has sized you up from their pitiful limited view of things. I say nothing back to them, but stand there the whole time realizing their mouths would be better off taped up something proper. I started to shop at Apna Bazar in town now. Its great! Prices for fruits, nuts, eggs, vegetables, my teas, etc etc, are great at Apna! And theres a Dollar Tree there too, so that just makes my day. Toothpaste for example, is overpriced at most stores, but same brand, $1 at Dollar Tree! ;)

Prices are fine and the store is clean. I will try to avoid stop and shop solely because they never hire enough cashiers! You can spend a good 15-20 minutes in lines that are 6 carts deep trying to purchase your 3 items. The self check outs are just as bad. They seem more concerned with profit than an enjoyable customer experience.

Went on a busy Saturday, place was well stocked and neat. The customer service has a lot of patience dealing with the self check-out, people that dont know how to use this should not use it. The store has was refreshed with a renovation last year and it is nicer than before.

Giving the store a 3 is being nice. Various areas of the store are constantly unstockrd and the staff, all the way to store manager are lackluster at best. Zero desire to run a good store.

Like to get stuff thats on sale or have coupons on the weekly Ads. Roasted chicken and fried chicken are good.
