Night Mare! I went for an eye exam and paid extra for contact exam. The exam was totallly without feeling and rushed. No more than about 15 mins. He made an error with one part of the exam and forgot to cover one eye. When he discovered the error, the doctor said, "oh, it doesnt matter anyway." He gave me a temporary pair of contacts to wear, because he said my type was out of date. He tried to push me to deal with them and my contacts. When I said that it was too expensive, I got the cold shoulder as if I was negligent. The glasses were good, but the contacts he gave me were terrible. I just went back to my old ones. Later, when I called to get the RX, the office told me that I was suppose to come back for a follow up on the contacts? I was never told that. Now, since a few months went by, I was told that I have to start over. I wouldnt start over with them if it were free! Dr. is cold, and its a pure $ maker. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL! GO SOME PLACE ELSE!

Dr. Schiff is great! I started wearing glasses several years back and never had a problem with any of my glasses. The ladies in the office were extremely helpful in choosing a pair of frames that I liked. I always got compliments. I never had any issues with my glasses from Dr. Schiffs office, and if I did Im sure they would fix them ASAP. After that, I made the mistakes of trying Cohens in Bayshore and Davis Visionworks in North Babylon (Cohens because of a stupid coupon, then Visionworks because I got Davis Vision insurance). Both were terrible experiences and terrible eyeglasses. Visionworks gave me the worst glasses I ever owned. Now that Im due for glasses again, I wont make the mistake of going to any of these big "chains". Bonus - Dr. Schiff is in the Davis Vision plan!!!

The employees that answer the phone and make appts. are very unprofessional, and very snotty. They do not call for the insurance or what your insurance covers. Dr. Schiff does not listen to your needs or exams you properly. I was very disappointed with my whole experience there. At the 3rd try he told me to go to another Doctor he would not make me any more lenses and gave me my money back.. Not much effort on his part. The only employee there that was very cordial to me was Sherry, thank you... I went to Pearle vision had no problems. Coach frames and lenses and exam. I paid $349.00 and they are so nice and professional that I will return. Shame on you guys your on Deer Park Ave. not 5th ave.

Ive been wearing glasses and contacts for almost 35 years. This was one of the most thorough eye exams I have had. I felt very comfortable bringing my 10 year year old son to Dr. Schiff for his first pair of glasses. He was very gentle and patient and even did magic tricks to keep him amused. He explained all of the tests also. The prescriptions were right on target, the glasses were comfortable, and there were no issues with insurance payments.. I have since recommended my parents to Deer Park Vision Care and they have had an equally impressive experience.

The staff was courteous and helpful. Dr. Schiff did a complete battery of tests and the results of each test were clearly explained as were also any abnormalities and difficulties that exist in my vision.The staff then coordinated my results with appropriate sets of frames and with insurance coverage.I picked up my new glasses in a very reasonable amount of time and they adjusted the frames to my satisfaction. I would highly recommend Deer Park Vision and Dr Schiff

My wife and I have been going to Deer Park Vision Care for years; weve both always been delighted with the service, the attention, and the overall experience. Dr. Schiff is professional AND personable, which is a nice combination. His staff is always pleasant and courteous. Weve always gotten our glasses quickly and with no unpleasant surprises. My only gripe is the parking lot; be prepared to do a little maneuvering to get in and out. Otherwise, Highly recommended.

Ive been going to Deer Park Vision for a couple of years and Ive been treated with the utmost respect that a person can receive. They take the time to make sure your needs are met to ensure the best vision for you possibly. I feel like they are an extended family when it comes to my sight. Im a person with only 1 eye and I can see perfectly with my glasses. Dr Shiff is a caring man when it comes to my situation and my vision.

My experience with Deer Park Vision Care was most positive. Dr. Schiff was precise and well versed in his methodology. The staff was cooperative and made choosing a suitable frame any easy task. I must say that I wear my new glasses much more now than my previous glasses obtained elsewhere because of their comfort level and the vast improvement they incur in my visual acuity.

I have been use Deer Park Vision for over 10 years. They are great to work with. Dr. Steven Schiff makes you feel like your his only customer!! He has been also taking care of my children as well. I highly recommend Him and his team!!!! There were nights i was running late and they waited for me. His front desk always greets you with smiles.

The staff was friendly, the doctor was rushed but that is to be expected. When I mentioned that I was on a budget, they worked with me to fit my insurance and budget plan. I am returning this week to obtain my second group of contacts. I would recommend it to someone.

DONT TRUST. They take advantage of the elderly and sell them expensive frames that they absolutely dont need and trick them into it. Father paid over $600 for to pairs of glasses - what a joke. They should be ashamed

Had an eye infection and went to dr Schiff. He was very helpful and got me the prescription and all that i needed very fast and my eye infection went away after a week. Great service THANKS AGAIN DR SCHIFF!

Perhaps because this location was not in-network on my vision insurance plan, the prices they charged me were higher than I was comfortable paying. The service and products were fine.
