I have been a resident of Cornwall, NY for the past three years. We moved from Seattle, WA where there is alot of coffee places. When we first moved here a large cup of Coffee from Two Alices Coffee Lounge for me was about $4.00. Over the past three years, I have watched the prices here continuously be raised at an outrageous pace. Yesterday I bought the same cup I always buy at a price of $5.50. I like Two Alices Coffee, but lets be honest that is a price increase of 37.5%. Also, I have to say a large cup of coffee here is not really a large in comparison to Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts or others. It is more like a medium cup. Additionally, the sign at the register about the price increases has informed me that I need to seriously not participate as a customer here. There is a note that reads or words to this effect: "Sorry, our prices have recently changed. Do not complain about it, but keep it introspectively to yourself." Well, I have decided $5.50 is too much for a medium cup of coffee. I have decided retrospectively that I will not be going to Two Alices Coffee Lounge in the future. I have now decided it is better to drive a little further for a real large cup of coffee at Starbucks and maybe get a pastry as well. It is a shame, but if you have a business model predicated primarily on constantly raising your prcies out of the range your customers, you are doomed to fail. It would not surprise me if this coffee lounge goes the way of Woodys Burgers in Cornwall, NY. Great Burgers, but at $8. Cornwall residents know what happened there.

Its only my secondary time here. I "starred" it on my map to make it a point to stop in here next time Im in the area. The place is super cozy, and in a great location (not necessarily convenient). The coffee is rich and strong. Their pastry selection is limited. They have vegan pastries which loom taste but Ive had my treat for the day. I cannot comment on their fancy coffee beverages as Ive never had any. They also sell beer!!! Its the only cafe I can think of that does in NY. Now down to business... Strong coffee: (which is how I gauge a Cafe): A++ Location and ambiance: A++ If youre going to give it 2 stars because its pricy, thats not totally fair. Small Ice coffee was $3.25. I had about half and was "super charged". Value: A+ Man I sound like Im a partner in this place. Im not :-(

The staff is friendly but the owner is very bitter. He doesnt appreciate you as a customer at all. I have been there over 100 times and the owner has never said hello or thank you to me. In fact he only approached me once to tell me that I couldnt drink a Gatorade that I had in my car in his café, even though I had the full intention of buying coffee, and that I and my family provide him with regular business. Not going there ever again.

They got the ingredients right for a coffee joint. My only constructive observation is theres a smidge of cliquishness. And hey, that probably works out great for a "locals first" scheme. As for me, when Im in town and want some Joe, I know that im not paying for smiles and "How-do-you-dos" at 2 Alices. On the flip side, being exclusive has advantages. So its really a wash. I like the place anyway.

2 Alices is a great coffee shop to stop by and hang out. The staff is friendly, the coffee is well made, and the bagels are delicious. They have soy cream cheese which is a hit with my lactose-intolerant friends. Their Thursday Trivia Night is super fun and their local music talent is awesome. If youre in COH stop by 2 Alices!

a friend of mine sat down outside here with some of their friends because she needed to sit because of her leg problems and her friends were eating gas station food and some guy came out from the back and told them that the gas station would let them eat off their floor.

Internet is down. When you try to call to see if their internet is back on they never answer. The message tells you to stop calling because they will not answer not call you back. Might never return!

Nice, relaxing coffeehouse and tea room, perfect for meeting with friedns and afternoon lounging. It is tailored more to the ladies. If they have more of a lunch menu, men would come too.
