I have owned Timberlands all my life and was sick of the poor quality and high price. I did a lot of research on the best mechanic work boot, Red Wing seemed to be the overall best boots on the market based on various websites and customer reviews. I visited the Red Wing Store on April 20th, and wanted to see what they offered. I walked in and was greeted and helped within 30 seconds by Ron Ouimette (Last name found on the sales receipt) and he took the time to explain the many different options, styles and colors I could choose from based on what I would be using the boots for. He was very happy to answer all my questions and explain the benefits of his product. He had me stand on a digital pressure pad that shows the arches, size and pressure points of my feet and even went above and beyond to manually size my feet with the shoe sizer tool. I was still deciding between the Steel toe and non-steel toe boot so he brought both out, laced them for me, and had me walk for a bit in each boot. I ended up purchasing the non-steel toe 6 inch work boot. I have never once in my life experienced that kind of quality customer service and dedication from anyone. Ron Is am excellent salesman and employee. He took his time, and answered any questions I had with honesty and confidence. I will never buy another brand of work boot based on the quality of the product and Rons Customer service. I hope to make all my future Red Wing purchases at the Red Wing store in Cicero.

I went into the store explaining that my issues were hot feet, need toe scuff protection and heat resistance from torches. They gave me three choices and after not having my size on the more expensive boot, I settled for the second expensive. ( 161.00 inc. tax.) I wore them home, then to work the next day. I literally walked into work and my feet were burning up. I took off the boots immediately. I returned the boots within 3 days of purchase. The owner of the store was there and wanted to see the shoes immediately. He turned them over and stated he cannot take them back because there was dirt on the soles. What I saw was dust. I took them home and wiped the "dust" off with a damp towel. Now I have a pair of boots that actually are too loose on my feet and can only wear in the dead of winter. So, in summary, if you buy boots here MAKE SURE they are exactly what you want or forever own them. * EDIT* - I talked to the owner via phone and he stated if you wear the boots out to the street , he could not exchange them.

Besides the incredibly well informed and courtuios staff, the products they sell are 2nd to none! I have purchased several pair of Red Wing work boots as well as a couple of pair of Vasque shoes. Prior to Red Wing I purchased most of my work boots at Walmart or Kmart. WOW! I have seen the light!! Sure, I pay more for the Red Wings however, they are the most durable, comfortable and best quality boots on the market today. I save money in the long haul. Thank you so much for all your help Ron. Oh, by the by...I am also very fond of their safety glasses. Check them out.

If you need work boots this is the only place to go!Needed to buy steel toe boots for my son for his new job...the staff is incredibly knowledgeable in all aspects of boots.They do a computer analysis of your feet for your size,arch, pressure points,etc... my son tried on a couple pairs & then tried a pair recommended by the staff based on his job description...he ended up buying the ones that were recommended!You cannot put a price on this kind of service! Oh yeah,& the staff is super friendly as well!

So happy to have a red wing store close to us now. My boyfriend bought boots from Ron as well as countless safety glasses, TOUGH TOE and it was such a good experience. He gave him a personal fitting, and honest answers to all our questions, i personally purchased nothing that visit and on top of polishing his red wings he had on he also asked if id like mine polished( my old work boots), he gave us new laces and a decal sticker I slapped on in the parking lot proudly. 5 stars in my book.

My first time in the store. Our salesman, Ron, was amazing. He took the time to explain the product line and even measured my feet the old fashioned way. NO ONE does that anymore. If you folks need a top quality product presented by a greater quality staff, please stop this store. You will not be disappointed !!! Thanks again Ron !!!!

Employees seemed bothered and annoyed that I wanted to buy boots. Boots werent in stock they wanted 30 dollars additional to ship them to my house. This on top of the 200.00 plus price tag. I love Red Wing boots but will never go here to buy boots again.
