Patrick is wonderful. He is knowledgeable about the books themselves as well as the inventory. Always very helpful, patient, polite, and kind. Of course an extension of the Community Bookstore, this location is without the certain affectation that is common in Park Slope. Plus, they can bring any book from the Park Slope location to the Terrace location on their handy book bike, if you dont need it immediately. I want to add of course that I admire the staff at Community as well and do not mean to discount them at all. They have of course been very helpful in the past as well and have even ordered books for both myself and my mother upon our request. It makes me happy to give my money to the smaller book store rather than the Barnes & Noble down the avenue. I also was able to purchase an exclusive release of a signed copy of Neil Gaimans "Trigger Release" through these folks which was incredible. :)

One the best book stores in town and a longtime NY icon. If youre not familiar with this place I suggest you look it up immediately. The store itself is very cozy and has an EXCELLENT atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a good book and/or poem. The building radiates character like no other and the fact they have late hours is testament to their dedication for both books and bookies. Even if you have no clue what this place is about or who/what happened there you should still stop by and check this place out for their selection!
