This little grocery store is a great asset to the neighborhood. When I need something quick to finish preparing a meal, I almost always go to the Green Grape. Although the prices are more than what you could find in some other places, I really love shopping at the Green Grape. I feel like a high roller when I wander through this small, cozy space! The staff are so friendly here and are always willing to help me find what I need. Definitely put this great grocer on your list! You can find many great local products here, which make great house warming or host/hostess gifts!

They understand where they are (Fort Greene, not Soho or the West Vill), which means that they have bottles of wine for less than $10. It also means that they are nice to customers. It also means that they run it like a business and they are honest, clear, and forthright about making recommendations. We have lived in the neighborhood for 11 years and I always feel bad buying wine anywhere else. May they never leave!
