I love shopping at Golden Mango in Canarsie. On 8/20/16, I went at 9:15pm for a few things. At exactly 9:50pm, I was walking to checkout, the lights went out and I was standing in pitch blackness. They could have flash the lights or made an announcement. I could have injured myself which would have been a law suit. GHETTO OH SO GHETTO. This would never happened in certain neighborhoods. GHETTO. I would have given this a one star, however I like this store.

Prices are not the best for what you get. Some of the produce its off bad quality or is going bad on the shelves. The selection for most stuff is pretty poor too, expect only one or two options for any type of item with most of them being low budget brands.

Prices goes up and down very frequently. If your looking for west Indian or Caribbean groceries this is a great place. The workers are helpful and friendly. Free parking.
