I recently visited Collectors Coins & Jewelry to trade in some old gold & silver jewelry for extra cash and my experience with them was Great. I went in not knowing anything about selling gold & silver. David & Peter took time to explain everything to me (what I had and what it was worth). They were very informative & made me feel very comfortable. They have Outstanding Customer Service!! They dont make you feel pressured into doing anything. I went back because I had my Tennis Anklet which needed to be repaired. They fixed it with no problem and without charging me some outrageous price. Two weeks later I had to take it back to them because I broke it again :-( . David helped me with fixing it the first time. When I took it back the second time it was Peter who helped me. Peter remembered who I was and asked me what happened & I explained my problem. He noticed that my tennis anklet had broke the second time in the same place which they had repaired. He ask me if it was there fault. That right there is Outstanding Customer Service. He was willing to take the blame fully. I assured Peter that it was NOT his work being faulty as to why it broke. I truly felt it was something that I had done, pulling the wrong way which broke it. Peter was so nice about it he said, He would take 1/2 the blame so I didnt have to pay the full price to get it fixed again. Then after he looked at it again he told me what else could be done to insure it holds more securly this time. Peter is also helpful with saving YOU money where he can. I again went back in order to have something fixed. The conversation we had regarding this item (a ring), I was going to add additional gold to it. This would have cost me additional money. Between the time It was dropped off and fixed Peter thought of something else that could be done to fix it which would cost less money. When I pick it up, Im sure it will be beautiful. Just like my Tennis Anklet was. Orginally I was just trying to find a good place to take my old gold and silver and Ive found a place to take all my business when it comes to jewelry. They treat you Very Fairly and make you Feel Like a Friend. I would recommend this business to other people and I will definitely be going back. Thank you Peter and David!!

Shiny things. One of my earliest memories was walking with my Grandmother on Grand Ave while she ran errands. L.H. Martins, Woolworth, then a quick stop at Carvel (now a Checkers) for a flying saucer before a visit to the fabric store across the street from the old, vacant school. Grandma wasnt going to take a small child with ice cream into a fabric store, so we walked slow. However, I stopped. Shiny things in the window at 1846 Grand Ave. I finished my flying saucer as Grandma told me about the shiny things, then to the fabric store.... About 10 years later I got buzzed into the place for the first time to buy my mother a present with the money Id earned from a paper route. I cant recall exactly what Id bought, but it was shiny. My love of shiny things hasnt changed, but my knowledge of them has grown into a passionate hobby that began with a flying saucer with Grandma and a jewelry shop window. To anyone reading this, this place is pretty awesome. A small shop that has outlived every other in the neighborhood. This place isnt Pawn Stars. Its a relic; an old school Mom and Pop establishment with Mom and Pop ethics and standards. I freaking love this place. Shiny Things. -SK

When my father passed away several years ago he left my wife and I a large collection of antique coins as well as quite a collection of gold jewelry and Mikimoto pearls. Luckily a friend of mine recommended me to Collectors Coins & Jewelry here on Long Island. As a matter of fact I am extremely happy that he did because the folks there treated me very kindly and also very fairly. Honestly, I had no idea what the real value of the coin collection was and even less of an idea about the jewelry. Peter, the manager at the location that I used, was not only extremely knowledgeable about the coin collection but also was very patient with me over the few days that I went back and forth in my mind about selling everything. I highly recommend Collectors Coins & Jewelry to anyone who wants to sell their coins or jewelry, even if they aren’t in a precarious situation like I was. I’m very happy with the way everything turned out and I can’t thank them enough for treating me like part of the family.

Recently I stopped in at "Collectors Coins and Jewelry. Firstly, parking was a pleasure - I pulled right in front of the store. No meter to feed! Phew! I met the owner of the Baldwin store immediately. He was pleasant but most importantly extremely knowledgeable in all the coins and paper money I had with me. The owner didnt rush reviewing my coins and in fact, took the time out to educate ME, which I must say was very kind. I felt he was honest and even shared some of his collection with me. I would certainly recommend stopping in and working with the gentleman. Again, hes honest, accomodating and will explain in detail the coins you own and why or why not theyre considered of value. Finally, this is a family owned business and I felt there was a true sense of care and interest in the coin-jewelry business. Thank you again for taking as much time as you did to review my MANY coins!

I inherited a small but very disorganized coin collection and I contacted Peter at Collectors Coins & Jewelry of Baldwin. I chose this shop because it was very highly regarded by every person who reviewed it online. If anything, the reviews I read were too critical. Peter was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and very willing to share his knowledge. He was totally upfront with me, and he was very patient. I am a professor with a Ph.D., but I honestly knew nothing about coins when I met Peter. He took the time to explain coins and their makeup to me so clearly that I now feel like I do know something about coins and coin collecting. One thing I definitely know is that I trust Peter and his company and I recommend him highly to anyone on Long Island who needs an honest, fair, friendly expert on silver, gold, coins, and jewelry.

I had the pleasure of meeting with Peter at "Collectors, Coins & Jewelry. " I came in with some basic knowledge primarily from internet research. He took his time to really educate me about coin collecting, best methods to determine value and coin appreciation. Wow! Im now reviewing my old coin collection with new eyes. Extra Side Note: I learned how much more you can make on your coins simply by taking them there as opposed to the bank or supermarket. Every year we buy the new Christmas Tree from our spare change dropped in a glass jar throughout the year. Guess what?? I will not be exchanging my coin at the bank this year! Thanks! Ki
