I would rate this place negative if I could. I just left this store they were obscenely rude. They made me buy an eyebrow pencil that was already opened because they claimed it wasnt for testing & that I used it. They had an attitude the minute I walked in. I asked for an opinion on hair and she sarcastically answered telling me that I was color blind. Mind you I bit my tongue and was still fairly nice. They all sit around talking the entire time but the minute you do something they snap at you as if they were watching in the first place. Ive never been to such a money hungry and horribly run place in my life. not to mention I only bought what I desperately needed. I couldve spent way more money in there if they were simply hospitable ..

I am actually new to the albany area and was in desperate need of finding a beauty supply store. I came across BSW Albany Inc just to see if they carried the products i like. The store is pretty big so it was very hard for me to find anything, i wouldnt have minded if the associates were helpful and nice. ALL they did was stand talk no assistance and when i asked they were uninterested and said we close in 20 min i never knew that meant i couldnt b assisted so i left came back the next tday n i still wasnt helped i would never gothere again and plus the merchandise was overpriced...not worth it unless u want to c ghetto trash associates that will cleary continue to make minimum wage 4ever due to there lack of work ethic...

I have been a customer of this store since 2006. No problems until yesterday. Apparently they have new policies in place and did not find it useful to display these changes. Now you cant try on a wig in store. So, you have to try the wig at home. If you dont like it you CANT get a refund or an exchange (on the bottom of the receipt). How are you to know if you like the wig if you cant try it on in store. Mainly, they sell wigs. You cant return it or exchange it. This new policy is bad for the consumer. I had to eat the money for wigs I will never wear. I will never step foot into that store again. I hope you will join me.

I would not recommend anyone doing buisness at this store! One, they are over priced and there are plenty of beauty supply stores on central ave, that are deserving of your business. Second, their customer service is the ABSOLUTE WORST!!!! If you are indecisive of a potential purchase make sure you are informed of their return and exchange policy. DO NOT BUY IT!!!! They have nothing listed in store stating the policy and its only noted on the back of the receipt, after youve made your purchase! Also they do not disclose to the customer that the item that you are purchasing is a final sale! BUYER BEWARE, GO ELSE WHERE!!!

The workers are very helpful, but the owners look at you/treat you like youre beneath them the moment you walk in!! Im in the area on business and needed a few things, this was the first place I came across. Its bad enough that they watch you on camera, but the demeanor of the man behind the camera is enough to make you want to walk right out. Had I had time and knew of a better place to go...i most definitely would have not spent a dollar there today!! I will be sure to tell friends, family, and Co workers to steer clear of this horrible.place if and when in the area!!!

I am from NYC, and have been in Albany for about 8 yrs. All I known is BSW!. This is the only place Ive shopped for hair, wigs and other beauty supplies, but for whatever reason, no matter what, that Damn china man aint never "friendly", or "welcoming". But besides that, their special discount policy is completely wack! I can spend like $300+ in approximately 3 months time, and it would only accumulate to $5-. They dont have the best quality hair, so why are the prices so high too? Just my thoughts. Hope yall express yours as well.

This place has tons of variety. Their inventory in the most expanded in Albany. Although I rather go to other beauty supply stores or order online because of two things, they overprice and the owner has a poor communication and comes of as racist. Because I make an effort to be an educated consumer, I refuse to support someone that is not for me. I rather give it to someone that treats me, the consumer like the client, not a criminal. 3 stars for the inventory..

Their customer service sucks! When you call for pricing, they state that they cannot give prices over the phone. Welp wont be going here. The owners are rude as hell & better off going down some blocks to the other Beauty Supply stores or even across the street. Quail & Third St have awesome prices as well.

Awesome amount of selections, this store is huge and from my experience recently the staff are amazing and really helpful. I believe a girl name denall with a nice short hair cut was the one that spent the most time helping me and i love the hair she helped me pick out, I will definitely be back soon!

Good products but poor customer service! bought some stuff yesterday and they wouldnt let me return it when I went in today! everything was in the same condition as I bought it, didnt even take them out of the bag! Im very disappointed and will not be shopping there again.

Terrible I came in the store to purchase human hair with my two kids and the owner took my daughters potato chips then kicked us out the store after he made her cry. The owner is asian and Im black I believe he wants black dollars but really racist

This is Ms Ebola Zika Ginkens. They are afordable, Sometimes pricey, What I do is look at item name if style, Than purchase online cheaper. However if in need now, I reccommend BSW. Have been a fan for years! 5 Stars.
