This store is HORRIBLE!!!!! The customer service is the worst....I am a makeup junkie to say the least. I buy makeup at least 2 times a week. I mostly give my money to Sephora, they are always super helpful and extremely warming.. I only go to Ulta if I cannot find what I need at Sephora and sometimes I wont even do that, Ill just order it online. Every time I go to Ulta, the employees are super rude! There is never anyone around to help you with what you need and if you do ask for help, they act like you are being a burden. They are ALWAYS out of products, nothing is ever restocked, and the store just looks sloppy. I went in last night to do some retail therapy and the manager was awful to me. At check out I asked if I could receive my free birthday gift, the manager said that they were out... Umm, its only 3 days into the month. Then she offered me some petty little gift, so I said I would take it... She asked if I had my birthday coupon with me and I said Ive never received anything like that. Then she had the nerve to tell me if I did not have the coupon that I would have to pay full price for the product. I asked her if she could call costumer service for me to see if I could receive my birthday coupon... She simply said no and that I had to do it myself. Similar thing happened to me at Sephora and they took care of it for me at check out and made me feel like they cared.. Shame on you ULTA!!!! Ive been in the costumer industry for over 10 years and would never treat a costumer this way. Costumers are what keep your business thriving and alive, they should be valued. I have never had a good experience at Ulta and I was so excited for them to be apart of our community....

About three weeks ago I bought a $53 Tarte eyeshadow palette from Ulta. When I purchased this palette I asked about their return policy since this is a huge chunk of change and was told they will take returns 30 days after purchase, and that is ALL I was told. Flash forward to yesterday. I came in to return this palette because it wasnt worth the money I had paid for it. I was RUDELY told they would not accept my return because I did not have the box it came in even though I had the receipt in hand. I explained that I had not been told I needed to keep the packaging in order to return this when I initially purchased this palette and even still they offered no help or were even nice about my dissatisfaction . This particular store is also always out of products. From my first visit, three weeks earlier where there was no products to be purchased in the pallet I was initially going to buy but they didnt have them in stock, to the time I went into return the pallet I did buy… There were still no new pigments available for the palette I was going to buy the first time. There makeup selection is meh, the store is always in a state of disarray, there are never enough staff on the registers (one person working the register with a long line of people waiting to purchase) and the staff overall attitude leaves something to be desired. Ulta has forever lost my business. I will buy from Sephora from now on, where I can return my purchases Im unhappy with or without packaging and the attitude.

I am very disappointed. I bought a Nioxin #5 three pack. The signs said that I would receive a Nioxin hair product worth $16.50 with purchase. The gal at checkout indicated that YOU were either out of the promotional gift OR had never gotten it and gave me a small shampoo as a replacement promotional gift. I went home and realized that a small bottle of shampoo was not a suitable replacement ($16.50 value). The next day I took my receipt and the shampoo back to claim my promised gift. The guy at the counter was very snippy and told me that Ulta Beauty didnt have the Nioxin promotional item and that I was lucky to have gotten anything at all. When I showed him the placard attached to the display shelves indicating the promotion, he was unsure why "they" had not removed the promotional ad from the Nexium display. No apology or attempt to resolve this issue to my satisfaction was made. I made another purchase at Ulta a few months ago - they did not have the promised gift to accompany that purchase either. I do not find this to be acceptable and do not plan to return to Ulta Beauty. If you shop at Ulta, I suggest that you hold them accountable and refuse to make purchases if the promised gift is unavailable.

I got my hair cut at ultra for the first time and she cut off a lot more than I asked her to. I had a picture of exactly what I wanted except a little longer but my hair does not look like I just paid $60 to get it done at a salon, it looks like I just got out of bed (and NOT in a cute messy way). I did ask for a loose beach curl but am very unhappy with how it looks. The shorest layer in the picture is shoulder length and my shortest layer is chin length, even though I said for it to be longer than the picture. I am very disappointed in the cut and style... She and everyone else I talked to was very nice though.

I mean ultras great love the makeup and I like to see it in person but everyone who works at this store is so rude and angry :/

Thank heavens there is an Ulta in Las Cruces! Their makeup is the best!
