My Yamaha Royal Star Ventures clutch began slipping. On Saturday, Sept 24, 2016, I rode it to Mt. Holly Motorsports. I met with service manager Chuck and discussed what I was experiencing. My clutch was slipping in high RPMs in both 4th and 5th gear. He agreed it was most likely a clutch issue and quoted me $500 to repair. I called my mechanic in Las Vegas I asked him how much it would be for him to repair. He said “For everything, including oil and filter $465. So when Chuck at Mt. Holly said $500, I figured the quote was close enough. He then told me that they were busy and that they probably wouldnt have the chance to properly diagnose the bike until the following Tuesday, September 27th but that he would call me to let me know what he found. I asked Chuck if my bike would be kept inside the entire time it was in the shop and he said, “Absolutely 100% I promise!" With that, I handed him my keys, thanked him and left. I called him on Wednesday to see if he had had the opportunity to have someone ride the bike. He admitted he hadnt but then said the actual amount to fix my clutch was going to be about $700 - possibly more depending on what else he found that might be broken. I knew I was getting shafted but I was at their mercy. The bike was there already and not in the greatest shape to ride. Additionally, the weather was rainy and the forecast was showing more of the same for days. On Thursday, Sept 29th I drove to the dealership. I asked Chuck why they were so much more expensive than my mechanic said it should be - $465 out the door. He became defensive and began insulting my mechanic. I asked him if I could see my bike. He took me into the huge garage. No bike! We walked outside, into the rain and sure enough - THERE WAS MY BIKE. I didnt lose it because I thought I still might need to have them service it. I told him not to do anything and went out to my truck and began making phone calls. I called 2 other local mechanics and told them what I had and asked them for a quote. One said $465 and the other said $475. I went home, called Chuck and told him what the other mechanics said. He said he understood but could not come close. I told him I would return as soon as the weather broke. The following day, September 30th, I returned to the dealership to pick up my bike. I went into Chucks area, said hello and told him I was there to pick up my bike. He began to speak disrespectfully to me telling me that the mechanics I would take my bike to were not reputable and would nickel and dime me. I told him that I didnt care. At this point it was more than the financial discrepancy, but that they left my bike out in the rain when they promised not to. Now hostile, he dug into a file and said, "Well David, my mechanic already has a lot of time into this bike. He test rode it and that takes time. What do you say to twenty bucks?" I said, "Im sorry, Chuck. This is the cost of doing business.” He continued to insist on getting paid, so I said, "Sure, Chuck, Ill give you the $20. Ill get much more than $20 worth of pleasure letting everyone on the internet know how you do business. With that he said, "Lets just go get your bike." He told his mechanic to wheel my bike outside. The tech dragged my bike out of the garage. I saddled up and went to start the bike. The keys were already in it and it was set to start. I knew instantly that they hadnt turned the bike off and sure enough the battery was dead. I went back inside and told Chuck what was going on. Without even an apology, he said he would have a charger put on the bike. My blood pressure is at a boiling point. I went into the dealership to speak with the owner or GM. I calmly explained what had just happened and he apologized, which was his sole attempt at satisfying me and said he would look into the charging issue and make certain it happened. He returned and he told me that it would be done charging in 15 minutes, apologized again and walked back to his office. 20 minutes later, no one was in hurry to get my bike started so I did it myself. THEY SUCK!

I have been going to Mt.Holly Motorsports since 1990. The easiest way to describe this dealership is they treat you more like a family member than a customer. Street or off-road machines this shop has it all.Bob in sales set me up with my New KX 250f.Bob sold me my first KX in 1990 too. After I went over to the parts department and talked to Scott. Scott helped me make the best choices with gear and accessories. He explained to me the latest helmet technologys and help me find one that suits my needs.Scott also made recommendations on oils, filters and additives to run in my bike. This is the first bike I owned that was a 4 stroke with fuel injection so this information was much needed! The staff at Mt Holly Motorsports do an excellent job with customer appreciation. They have ride days at Englishtown MX race track, street rides from the shop, demo days, and annual events at the dealership. If your into Supercross dont miss the annual SX nite! Steve Lewis started this awesome event several years ago. If your a lucky Pitt pass holder, you might be walking out with an autographed jersey, number plate, or goggles from your favorite pro racers! If this is what your looking for in a dealership, come join the family. Rick B

Took my kfx450 here to be fixed. Took it there the first time they had it in running condition but went to start it up at home and didnt run and got charged over $100. Made the mistake of bringing it to them the second time, they had my quad for 2 weeks and kept telling me they were at a dead end and didnt know what else to do with it. Finally went in to talk to them and they had a tech that actually knew what he was doing look at it and had it fixed in a day, but still over charging me for the labor the previous guy that couldnt fix it. $995 for a ecm (that just plugs in) and "diagnostic time" 2.5 hours labor for that and a wire that shorted and $222 in labor for that. Very unsatisfied and angry, definitely got taken advantage of especially for them having my atv for over 2 weeks. The guy went on to say I would bad mouth the shop because I stated I was unsatisfied and would be sure to review the shop, he stated that the first problem was related to the second problems and then when I ask him why I paid the 120$ the first time then why cant they take that off my bill and he changed his mind saying that it was unrelated. Again I would not take anything else to this place got taken advantage of.

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT TAKE your Triumph here, I ultimately had to take my bike to Manayunk and paid to fix this dealers mistakes. I took my Thunderbird here for an oil change and a rear tire change. First, they left the oil stick loose in the engine block. Then, now i discovered they had overfilled my bike, and i have to pay to have my cam seals replaced due to the increased crank pressure. They couldnt align a belt drive to save their life, they kept wanting to throw rear brakes at it. The first pair i let them put on, but when the sound didnt go away, they were suggesting "organic" brakes. Knowing a thing or two about fickle the T-bird can be about the drive alignment, when I suggested this, they gave me an exasperated attitude.
