We are relatively new to the area - A coin collector recommended Schroth and Lorenson for basic repair and servicing - I like to have relationships with the people I spend money with - They had some interesting pieces for small gifts, etc - My first trip in I was pleasantly surprised - I went back in to add something I forgot and wanted to wait for the salesperson I originally left my pieces with - Another lady was insistent that I leave my additions with her - I came back for my bracelet and was told that it was crappy and falling apart - I said I know that is why I want it repaired - It was a silver Gucci bracelet that I bought in Florence at University - They repaired it - I picked it up with the rest in a few weeks - I took a diamond watch that we gifted to a family member that needed to be overhauled and cleaned - They said it was working fine and sent it back with me - It continued to stop running - I took it back and they basically refused to help me or refer me to a watch maker - This store is confrontational and unhelpful - I am always amazed at service providers that like to say NO - Does anyone understand why people do not want to take responsibility for even their own business - The name of Schroth and Lorenson Jewelers should have the following qualifier under their heading - IF WE WANT TO DO IT - I took the watch to a watch maker in the city - The watch now runs - It needed to be cleaned - GREAT SERVICE -

Incredible, personal service with a selection to fit every need and want. We got our wedding rings, engagement ring, and last minute bridesmaid gifts (Ordered just one week out from the wedding!) through S&L. I also converted a necklace my father gave me as a child into a beautiful bracelet with their help. I could not be happier with all the meaningful pieces I have gotten from this shop. Rich and team are a joy to work with, have creative ideas and are all about providing quality and exceptional service to their customers. I will continue to come up from Virginia to my jewelers at Schroth & Lorenson, there is no one better in my opinion.
