The USB port on my portable 250GB zip drive used for work broke -- the IT folks at work said that the USB connection was not the problem but rather that the drive was corrupted such that critical work data was lost (or at least not recoverable without spending hundreds of dollars). I called the Best Buy Geek Squad but they wanted $100 just to take a look with no guarantees and said recovery of the data would be in the hundreds of dollars. I then called Princeton Computer Repairs and after explaining the problem, Val spent about 30 minutes talking me through the problem and suggested first trying to put the drive into a docking station. After trying that, the drive worked perfectly. The amount I paid was quite reasonable, especially considering how valuable the data on the drive is to me. I find it incredibly selfless and generous of Val to have spent such a considerable amount of time with me on a relatively minor problem (well, major to me because I needed the data, but minor to him in terms of business). Certainly, I will call on Princeton Computer Repairs for any future computer problems!

Val did an outstanding job for us twice in the last several months. The first time he restored all docs and files that were "lost when my sons hard drive totally failed. All his work for his business was on the drive. What a job. Val had it done in 1 or 2 days. Recently, my PC was almost at a standstill. I had someone else look at it and they could not find anything wrong. Val worked his magic and the computer has never worked better. It is lightening fast. Communication is efficient because Val responds quickly by phone, asked questions as needed by phone, and the drop off and pickup is arranged for the convenience f the customer. I picked up my PC the same day I dropped it off but at 10 pm. Princeton compute Repair provides excellent technical service AND has a great business model that makes life easy for the customer.

I called up Princeton Computer Repairs to ask about upgrading the CPU of my Alienware Laptop after being told by Dell and Geeksquad that it wasnt do-able. The gentleman talked me through my problem and explained that the issue I had was unlikely to be related to the CPU and that I should go back and look at the settings, drivers, etc., of my laptop. I did so, and the problem was fixed, without spending anything. The gentleman took the time to talk me though the problem and help me avoid a 400+ dollar fix for something that wasnt broken. The fact that he was honest and helpful, rather than being focused on getting my money, meant a lot and next time something really is broken, Ill be back for more help. Thanks.

Hello- To be honest I have no idea who to send this to after looking on your website so I thought I would do so here. I was wondering if you had any job openings as a PC repair tech at either of your locations. I am a 17 year old enrolled at Princeton High School who will be going into their Senior year this coming school year. I have 3+ years experience with servicing pcs (laptops/desktops/and mac books), I have also built 5 desktops personally . I am also very comfortable with system restores and overall troubleshooting. If you could let me know if there were any job openings and what requirements if any there were to get a job at your company that would be amazing. Sincerely- Andrew White

When I called their office, their voicemail said, and I quote, "We would be happy to assist you, as long as you are willing to spend at least two hundred dollars!" What kind of marketing strategy is this? I went to their location in the middle of the day and the building was dark, with a sign reading "Open by appointment only." Very inconvenient. I took my PC to a place in Edison off of Plainfield Avenue instead. I believe they were called CR Computer Repair. Theyre friendly, professional, quick, honest, and walk-ins are welcome. Dont waste your time here - I couldnt even meet with anyone.

Seems like a scam. Almost as if the owner wrote these reviews himself. I called him, gave him a description of my problem, and asked about how much he thought it would be. He told me it could cost "azillion" dollars and said I probably couldnt afford him. I have a feeling he hold peoples computers ransom for an exorbitant amount of money. Would stay far away.

Had a problem with my trusted laptop, actually a host of problems - malfunctioning keyboard, corrupted OS and perhaps some others, I couldnt detect. Brought it in, got back a perfectly working comp, at least so far - a new keyboard, restored OS, preserved and restored data. What else - very fast, efficient and courteous service. Couldnt ask for more.

Over the years, I realized that this place is like an exclusive club, it is difficult to become a member but once you are in, You are in! You become part of the family and get treated as such. Princeton Computer Repairs rules! Now that I have all my data back and my business fully operational, I like you even more. Thank you. You are a lifesaver.

Not the least expensive, but very possibly the best computer repair service I have found (and used many times). Very straightforward to deal with -- very honest and reputable . . . Instead of fumbling around and wasting your time, they will find out whats wrong and help you decide the best approach to repairs.

I had a great experience with this company. My computer broke just before the weekend, making it impossible to work on the project I planned to finish by Monday. The technician sent by the company was very professional and pleasant making the experience less stressful for me. Very impressive service!

Ive never heard of a business that asks you to choose a price level of your job on their answering machine (when I dont know the depth$ of the issue) and then have the answering machine hang up on you when you choose under $300! Would never reach out to such arrogant "help" with any level job.

My emergency was on a Sunday night, and guess what? They came! No Extra Charge! I was here on business and now I wish I lived in Princeton, NJ since they do not make interstate housecalls ;) THank you again! I am very pleased with the service provided.

We have used PCR for years. They put together our entire tech package when we first opened our business and have been maintaining it ever since. Repair techs come quick and never leave unless the issues have been resolved. Excellent customer service.
