Absolutely horrible. Sadly i am familiarized with technology, unlike the not so tech savy consumers that come into this store every day. Sadly my grand mother fell victim to BEST buys o so great geek squad. Now let me tell you i have visited a few different best buys around new jersey and this geek squad wins the cake for being the most unknowledgeable and unsatisfying customer service! My grandmother had brought her computer for repair. It was a simple clean up . Computer was running slow. Turned out to also be 1 of the ram sticks went bad and the computer SSD was full, simple fix right? Just replace the ram sticks and clean of the SSD right(save the picture and etc on a external)? Welps turns out they could not even do that right. Not only did they do nothing to fix or find the actual issue. They just toke her computer for a few days, said they fixed and charged her for it. So theres -1 points for best buys geek squad. Now i myself go their with a receipt and explain the issue to their GREAT geek squad team. They say o no problem we will just have to charge you for those fixes. WOW this computer was just here for repairs a few days ago that you guys charged for and fixed absolutely nothing. So i had the privilege of talking with TIMMY/JIMMY of whatever his name, the head of the geek squad team. Assuming his their manager/supervisor for the geek squad department because other managers ive met from this store had pretty great customer service skills....sadly it was not the same case for him. I was more satisfied with his hair that looked like a hedgehog then his response to my issues. In the end i got no proper answer or solution to my problem. Sure you can tell a customer that you still have pay again to fix your computer that they never fixed in the first place, at least be able to say it in a nice proper way! Dont be such a snob buddy especially to someone who actually knows about computers. Never coming back to this best buy ever again. Their so called tech team geek squad need learn the power of how to use google at least or they just need to try hiring actual people that know what their doing. As for their manager, no comment. You know what they say a team is a reflection of their leader. Will be highly recommending friends and family never to come here for technical issues.

I went in yesterday to look at the new iPads, to see how they worked. Ive been reading on how the display compares to the Kindle. The clerk got into a conversation not about the iPad display, but about textbooks in Texas. From there, Bill (his name) launched into a nearly half hour long diatribe about how "our people" are being "forced out" of our country. (I presume he meant white Christians... Bill has blue eyes and ruddy white skin). I have NEVER had a store clerk lecture me on all sorts of racist nonsense... how "all his kids learn in school is about the Muslims...our people are being forced out... they dont learn about OUR traditions...." Finally I couldnt take it anymore, and I just looked at him and said, "You know what, Bill? Im a Muslim too." Serves me right for being too lazy to wear hijab yesterday. Or maybe it was just as well I was in a tee shirt and jeans. If I hadnt been, Bill would never have let me know how racists lunatics can lurk even in Best Buy. He didnt believe me when I said I was born in the same city he was, Atlantic City, and probably in the same hospital. Oh, I happen to be white. Hey, it happens. PS, I didnt buy the iPad. And if I ever do, it sure as hell will not be from Best Buy. Over the years I have spent thousands and thousands in Best Buy; its the only place I would buy my computers and laptops. I think Im done with them now. By the way, if the young man who looked like he might be Pakistani is reading this.... the youngish man who was at his security station at the front door, to whom I did a driveby complaint yesterday... if you are reading this, I am the woman who walked by you and said to you: "So. Youre hiring racist lunatics now to sell computers. Classy!" And I kept on walking. And ahki of mine, I will KEEP ON walking out of Best Buy from now on.

The mobile department is absolutely, 100% useless. I would have left zero stars if possible. I called the store asking a simple question about prices online, the women had to put me on hold to ask someone else, I didnt think much of it then, but the next day I go to the store because I wasnt able to buy the phone online and asked for them to help me through the process (since they didnt stock it in stores either), they said theyre unable to help me order anything online because of the way their computers work but if I pull it up on my phone, theyll answer any questions I have. I pulled it up on my phone, and asked how I can choose the AT&T next option. The same women who I talked to the day before on the phone didnt know the answer to that question either and had to ask the other three employees. Then she tells me I cant buy a phone online for my plan because they dont offer that option (which is wrong because I saw it online the day before!) Shes tells me to call best buy to order it instead. I go home try to order online, find the option, but it wont let me ship to any of the stores in state! So I call best buy, they say theyre not allowed to order it over the phone for me and that I can come in stores and get the mobile department to order it for me so now Im going in circles. Summery: I tried shopping via online, in store and over the phone for a single product and no one could help me.

Terrible store,spent $700 on a UHD tv I have now had 9 months and its incompatible with my PS4 Pro (A UHD 4K Device).I was told by GeekSquad over the phone to settle for 1080 despite 2160p being advertised,sell or buy a better more costly tv.Then one came to my home and told me it is not compatible with my new 4K device (PS4 Pro) that I should pay more to get more.I then tried calling the manager of this location and he suggested its a UHD and he wont allow me to return,once again I shouldve bought a better tv.He made sure to tell me there are no returns and that I do have a UHD,although I believe there was false advertising.I mentioned to him that if it wont display an image in 4K then its not what I paid for,and he hung up on me.They will help you buy a product,even sell you on the extended warranty but the solution to all seems to be get over it or spend more money.Now I have a tv with a warranty till 2021 that in 9 months is already "incompatible" with other 4K devices,and I simply have to deal with it.Even one star seems like too much,dont spend money here unless you like to be told your money isnt good enough and you should spend more to get what you really wanted.
