MicroTech Computers is a bunch of Unprofessional Con Artists, Upon visiting the store for the first time Red alarms should of went off in my head the store was dirty, cluttered, and disheveled no sense of organization. I warmly greeted the attendant asked if they sell Ram or upgrade in store ( during our conversation the man took 5 calls on his cell and bragged to me of his polygamous dating life, as if I was suppose to high five him. He told me they sell ram and It must be upgraded in the store they simply cant sell me the chips and I open up my machine at home. Desperate to get my Alienware at peek performance I said Ill do it, The Indian man gave me a receipt and demanded a deposit as if the value of my laptop wasnt deposit enough he told me to return in a hour. When I returned the guy acted as if he never met me in his life and couldnt recall that I dropped off my Alienware. Seriously so everyone in Jersey City has a Premium Gaming System and thats why that Indian man simply cant recall our fifteen minute conversation we had an hour ago. I do admit I lost my temper a bit but not to the point of shouting obscenities after waving my receipt at him ( I can only wonder what would of happened if lost receipt) He seemed to remember everything clear as day once I started waving my receipt. I asked him how was the Ram install. He told me very simple it took him longer to screw my panel in than to actually pop the RAM in the slot, I chuckled and paid the remaining dues. Naturally when I got home it still showed when I opened the system analysis it showed only 8 gigs of ram. I still was calm I thought to myself maybe this is newbie technician and didnt seat the ram properly. No I was Incorrect there were exact two 4gb Ram Cards (stock from dell not even a aftermarket brand) in each slot exactly how I brought it there before. They literally charged me 148.00 bucks so my laptop can collect dust in their store for a hour. When I brought this to store managers attention he thought I was pulling a fast one on him !!!! At this point I was insulted I calmly explained to him it isnt likely a person with a 3,000 dollar laptop isnt going to con a buisness for RAM. I then asked to see the ram they removed from my device ofcourse it was nowhere to be found I was cursed many different ways in their Indian language (. if only I was able to record in time . I just wanted a refund which I never received....However I disputed the charge with Credit Card Company ( good thing I didnt pay cash). If that doesnt work Small claims court it is. I couldnt care about the lousy 150 bucks, however I am certain they pulled this scam on countless others who were to naive to notice. This is a horrible place of buisness they two location one in The Jersey City Heights, the second in Journal Square also in Jersey City. Boy Cott this store they dont deserve our American dollars!

A+ Excellent - Must Recommended PC Repair Shop I had two Dell laptops 1525. One was functional completely but hinge was broken. Other was screen broken but hinges were fine and it was un-operational laptop. I wanted to replace the hinges from one laptop and install in my operational laptop. It was got done so nicely and clean. No one can find out that my laptop ever repaired. They are nice to me and it was in time repair. Staff was cooperative to me. I paid for $60 for this job and I think it was decent. As it was time consuming matter. I wonder, how Ana ( Feb 16 2011 Review )find out that part in laptop was used part. I am not saying that she wrote wrong review. I am just wondering. I wonder what part it was. I felt sorry for her. But I deal with them so many times and this is 1st time I decided to write a review. But I never had bad experience with them.

I would feel bad for anyone who were to go through what I went through, so do yourself a favor and steer clear of this place. They had my macbook for over a month, didnt fix the problem, and I ended up fixing it by reinstalling the OS. Im out $170, taxes not included. The technician never got back to me, nor did the owner when I asked for both of them to give me a call. This was an experience which has completely jaded me from going to these rinky-dink repair shops. They are rude, and apparently find it quite easy to blame you for their ineptitude when they cant figure out the problem. This is their policy based on my experience - Once they have your money, you are no longer their problem. Hopes this helps, guys. R.O.

This place provides the most garbage customer service. Overpriced, lack of customer appreciation and they lie right to your face about any of the products and services they sell and provide. I went to go pay a Lyca Mobil phone bill- I wanted to change my plan from $39 to $45 and I had previously changed my data plan before with out any issues. However, they kept on telling me that they are not authorized to change them. After explaining to them multiple times, they "tried" to change the data plan and it somehow magically worked. They clearly wasted my time. Ridiculously bullshit service and no type of value for customer. Do not go here for anything!!

BUYER BEWHERE! Do not shop here! I am all for supporting small buisness, but only if they keep the practice American consumers are use too. I frown down preffusly at the majority of these Asian & Middle Eastern store owners for their Non American consumer practices. Since when has "NO REFUND" & a NASTY Foreign Additude towards unsatisfied customers the norm in this country! Why do we put up with thier anti- American consumer practices? They have become way to comfortable not to realize no customer - no revenue= NO BUISNESS! Something must be done!

They had my MacBook Pro for 3 weeks for graphics cards repair, charged me $150, the problem wasnt repaired. Ever-time they gave me the Mac, I had to bring it back since they didnt even fix the problem. That happened three times until I got tired of it. I am still trying to get my money back. I wish I had listened to my friend and went to Music Station which is three-four store down microtechn. I recommend anyone looking for good service go to Music Station, they also have good rating. Thanks

BUYERS BEWARE Purchased RAM here, was given the incorrect speed that I asked for. The owner refused to give a refund and said he would have the correct RAM delivered from another location within 48 hours. A full week later and still no RAM. A refund has still not been issued. The owner was not very friendly and spoke in a different language to the other employees when talking about my issue. Clearly this place is not a legitimate business. Definitely avoid if you can.

Great experience with them!! My computer didnt connect to the hdmi cable, the nice sir try for an hour to fix it. Installed for me updates but couldnt fix it. The problem was the motherboard and he said its to expensive for me to fix it and its better to buy a new one. He didnt even want to take money after hour of working!! Thank you very much I will recommend for everyone to go there!! I will come again for sure
