My overall experience with Raspa Jewelers was quite poor. When I dropped off my earrings to have a new hook put on one of them, I felt the jeweler was unfriendly but just let that go. He told me theyd be ready by the middle of the following week. That was great, I thought. He didnt give me a price estimate or range or anything, though. The middle of the following week rolls around, and I never got a call. I assumed maybe there was a delay, but no call the entire week. The following week, still no call. I went in on Thursday and asked if they were ready. They were. I was turned off that I wasnt even called when they were finished. The woman there asked me how I was going to pay. I told her credit card only to find out she didnt know how to work the credit card. Thankfully, I had someone with me who had cash on him, otherwise, I wouldnt have been able to pay for the repair. Once I got my earrings home, I noticed that the one with the new hook had glue residue on it from where the new hook was glued on, and I could still see remnants of the old hook. Definitely a poor job and poor service. I will not be going back, and I do not recommend them to anyone.

I was attracted to Raspa Jewelers from a review on yelp because I needed a simple watch repair and wanted to support a local business. My initial consult with whom I presume to be the owner was a pleasant experience. I was told my watch would be fixed in two days and that they would call me to pick it up. After the third day, I called to ask about the status of my watch. An older woman answered the phone and I politely explained my situation. Her only reply was "ticket number?", in the less than 30 seconds I took to locate my ticket stub I hear "helloooooo?!" over the phone. The woman was extremely impatient and rude as I explained I was locating my ticket. Beyond this phone call my experience was fine. The repair of my watch appears to be professionally done and I am satisfied with the work. As a company the advertises "a personal touch", they need to reevaluate their customer service policies.A customer with a $10 watch repair should be treated the same way as a customer ordering a custom $20k diamond ring. You never know when that customer with the watch is going to come back for that ring when he meets that special someone.

Sal is honest...a truly rare quality in the jewelry business! He is also wonderful to work with. I showed him a picture of an antique ring that my fiancée wanted, and after we explored catalogues and were unable to find it, he simply had it made! As for the cost of the jewels, he is upfront about the cost of the stone and his markup. It is refreshing to walk away from a transaction like this, know that you have purchased something unique, and feel good about the price. I hope he takes care of himself, eats well, and wears his seatbelt, because I intend to go to him for all my jewelry for the rest of my life!

I had a couple of wristwatches to clean and fix. They are a bit slow, dont call you back right away but the actual repair job was done well and the cost was reasonable.

Dropped my grandfathers beat up ring to get resized and cleaned. When i got the ring back it could barley believe it was the same ring.
