I work in a retail environment and I know the importance of customer servicing and how it should be done. This was done all wrong. I hardly ever write negative reviews unless its absolutely appalling to me , and in this case .. well.. My roommate and I believe we were pretty much pushed to the side . (Being that we are a younger duo) We never received any phone calls or updates about our order unless we dug for answers ourselves .. And if it wasnt for us constantly calling and leaving voicemails (they hardly pick up the phone) , we believe that we would never have had received our table. We payed a pretty penny for the set , and was given a date to expect the table and chairs to be shipped to us. On the receipt it mentions that you can expect the furniture to arrive at the written in date, or before. Well, ours came after. 13 days after. Without a call to let us know either. We prepped family members to stay in our new apartment on the expected shipping day while we were at work just in case the furniture came , but nothing. Finally , 13 days later , we finally got a hold of them and they told us we would get it the next day between 12:00 and 2:00. We received our table - only after me calling 3 times , and my roommate calling 4. (They arrived 35 minutes late from the time frame they gave us, and didnt give us a single call as to any progress.. Or that they were even coming at all to begin with.) We believe that if we were an older couple we would perhaps have had better luck with this place-- but even then.. Who the hell knows. Friendly delivery guys. If it wasnt for them , I would have written a more in depth review. Save the stress. Dont shop here.

HORRIBLE!!! Waited 10 weeks for furniture order extra throw pillows and they still arent in after 5 months asked to just refund me and they keep putting me on hold. Two of the cushions have a small hole in fabric told me that it was no problem they would get new cover was told it would all be ups on dec 19. Well guess what nothing. I asked to track order but then the answer changed that they ran out of fabric now supposed to be by January 30. Six months plus later. I called the manufacturer directly they are willing to help but u have to go through furniture place and their warranty I said I have your warranty which was on the cushions they said that doesnt mean anything has to go through store. Makes no sense. Thought I was doing good buying American made furniture paying more money and getting crap. The company is fairmont design stay away from both. And by the way the legs on the couch are different then those on the chair. Same group of furniture go figure. This should be zero stars!!!!

We ordered a custom couch at the end of August (right before Labor Day) and were told it would take 6-8 weeks to come in. Since it was close to their Labor Day sale, I assumed it would take closer to 8. When I had not heard from the company at the end of October, I called to check on our order. I called right when they opened and spoke with a woman who told me that the fabric we had chosen was backordered and the couch was set to ship on November 15th. She said once it came in, they would call me and schedule a delivery within 2 days. To my surprise, they called me on November 3rd to schedule delivery. They delivered 2 days later. They gave me a window of between 10-12 and the guys arrived at exactly 10 AM. They were quick, courteous, and did an excellent job. The couch is fantastic. Very well made and beautiful. The only reason I give 4 stars is because I had to call to check on the order instead of someone calling to let me know it would arrive later than planned.

I cannot post unless I give them at least one star. But I really give them a ZERO star! This store is by far the worse furniture store I have dealt with. I purchased a couch June 2015 and within a month a part broke on it. I requested a refund and for them to take the couch back, but they refused promising they will take care of the couch. They sent someone out twice to fix with no success. Since then, Ive been getting the run around that I will be getting a replacement. It is now Nov 2016 and still no replacement!!!! Its been one excuse after the other. It should not take over a year for them to have taken care of this issue. I have recently filed a claim though Consumer Affairs of NJ and hoping they can help resolve this. I DO NOT recommend this store to anyone!! Do yourself a favor and dont waste your time or you money!!!! Funny I see some positive feedback on here with the same last names as their employees. Nice TRY!

From the moment my husband and I walked into this beautiful store I could see that their furniture is top quality. We were greeted cordially and allowed to wander the store in peace, without being followed by a salesperson or running into one around every corner, which is exactly what we experienced in the two neighbouring stores to this one. I find that very un-nerving! Our furniture was delivered on time by very courteous and knowledgable delivery men. Our neighbors also bought here after seeing our beautiful furniture. Although their order was delayed (NOT by the store but by the factory ... the store has no control if the factory is running behind!!) they were always kept up to date on its progress. They, too, love their new furniture and are planning on furnishing their new summer home at the shore entirely through The Furniture Store. They and we will never purchase furniture anywhere else.

Buyer beware DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM they lie cheat and try to scam you . . I ordered a living room set and a bedroom set they tried to over charged me and when I caught on to what they were doing with the numbers they said sorry simple mistake Ill fix it and tried the same scam again. When I called them out on it a second time he got nasty and said Im not trying to cheat you its a simple mistake and now the deal is off Im not doing it for that price. So I left and bought elsewhere.. I suggest everybody to do the same and go elsewhere first

I dont ever write reviews, but I had to for this place. It took more than 3 months to receive a furniture delivery. The business is run extremely poorly and it is impossible to reach them by telephone. You legitimately will have a success rate of less than 5% in trying to reach them on the phone. They have a very nice selection of furniture, but the poor service and poor efficiency of the business makes this place completely not worth it. I will not be buying from them ever again.

Great selection and products. The owner has been in the business for eternity and knows his products. The Salesman Jim was low pressure and very knowledgeable also he has been in the furniture business forever. I trust them and look forward to doing business again.
