Had a horrible experience there buying a pre-owned vehicle. Our seller Joel was misleading us throughout the whole process. Telling us the car is still under warranty, all new tires and breaks, and the car would be prepped as brand new when we drive it out. We found out the truth only during the last step (signing the finance contract) after spending almost 4 hours there negotiating. He told us we would get great interest rate from financing and did a credit check on us while we were test driving (which I didnt agree to). When we were sent to the finance guy, our rate was shockingly high, and the finance guy told us there is charge for the anti-theft window (which Joel didnt bother to mention during the negotiation process), and that the car is no longer under warranty, that we had to purchase more years of warranty. My husband didnt want to walk away because we had already invested almost 4 hours there so he agreed to all the last minute surprises. We ended up paying $5k more on top of the agreed purchase price plus all the finance interest charges. We werent offered any water or snacks during this 4+ hours process. They kept telling us "it will be quick, only 20 minutes", then it always ended up 1 hour, 2 hours, and it just dragged on and on. After almost 5 hours there, we didnt get a chance to inspect the car since they were closing and we were simply exhausted towards the end. When we drove the car home that night, the gas tank light was on! It was nearly empty, and I barely made it home on the highway. I was so furious thinking that for keeping us 5 hours there, and for spending $38k on a pre-owned vehicle, the least they could do was to give us a full tank of gas!!! The tires were definitely not new, they look old. There were some kind of warning lights on the dashboard which I didnt know how to turn off. Joel didnt even spend the time walking us through all the details and features of the car, we dont even know where the manual is. We ended up googling most of the features and spent another 2 hours on figuring out how things work in there. The whole experience was horrible! I didnt sleep well that night because I felt we got cajoled into a bad deal, and worried that there might be other problems with this car, since the seller was so dishonest with us the whole time. Also, he was telling us we would get free oil change as long as we had the car (as an extra bonus for agreeing to the purchase price), then we found out that every customer who buys a car there gets free oil change there, not just us. He made it sound like it was a special bonus for us but it really wasnt! In the end we didnt get anything "special" for this outrageous deal and terrible customer service, we didnt even get a half tank of gas with this purchase and had spend extra time the next day to go fill the tank, figure out how the car works. The car was also not thoroughly cleaned, smudges and dust inside the car and on the window. They claim 100% satisfaction guaranteed at this dealer, I was hardly 10% satisfied! After spending over $38k at this place, I did not feel happy or satisfied!

This is the only place Ill ever go again for a car. Theyve got a lifetime customer out of me, and heres why :) So, I had an extremely horrible experience shopping for a car. About a year prior, my sister did too. Apparently when youre a woman looking for a used car, salesmen seem to think youre stupid and just see you as a giant dollar sign. After my terrible experience, my sister told me to come to this place. Its where shed wound up after all her horrible shopping ended in frustration, anger and no car. Last year, my mom had been prepared to trade in her car to get my sister the used car she wanted (it was in her budget). Well, they walked out with my moms car and a brand new 2015 Nissan Altima lease. For just a smidgen more than what they would have paid for 1 used car. Happy? Thats an understatement. But thats their story. I had a very strict budget to work with, and very little wiggle room. A bad car accident and raised insurance rates were making sure of that. So in I go, ready to haggle and fight and be nasty because thats what Id come to expect. But theres Anthony, all smiles and asking what my deal is. Point blank he tells me my payment goal isnt going to happen (I was low-balling, hoping for the best). With my entourage (mother, boyfriend, sister and her bf) he tells us what can and cannot be done, what my realistic options are, and what my best bet is. I loved him instantly. He was real with me. Probably the first car salesman Ive met who didnt try to sell me something I couldnt afford, or try to talk me into something I loved but would break the bank paying for. I went in that day hoping for a used car. I walked out with a lease for a 2016 Sentra. I mean, its a base model, but its still a hell of a lot more than I was hoping for! I am so incredibly grateful for all that Anthony did for me. I didnt get there until 7, the place closes at 9, and he stayed with me until after 10 to make sure I had my insurance and I went through the financial office and everything. I had to come back the next day to sign my papers officially, but everyone was super friendly and they were all very happy for me. I mean, my paperwork speaks for itself. Two accidents in 2 years, points on my license... Yeah... It doesnt look good (even if they really were accidents!! haha). This is my first car, all on my own. And Edison Nissan (and a gift from mom) made it happen. The staff works hard to make sure everyone leaves happy. I mean, my whole family has Nissans now and its all from them! I drove an hour just to go to them, because my sister trusted Anthony. And I do too.

I bought my car a little over a month ago at Edison Nissan, and have been meaning to write this review for a few weeks now, but working two jobs and traveling for work… I’ve just been busy. I am busy, just like the rest of the world out there, and buying a new car wasn’t exactly at the top of my priority list… knowing from past experiences how painful of a process it can sometimes be. However, that all changed when I walked through the doors of Edison Nissan. My experience started online. Like many people, I have slowly started to regain my footing since the economic downturn. I researched car dealerships that specialize in working with people who have less than perfect credit. From that first phone call, I felt like I was going to be well taken care of, and I was right. My salesman was Belal, and he was great! At a time when I was nervous and not even sure I would leave with a car, he made sure I was happy, and informed throughout the entire process. I was comfortable with him immediately, and even when he was working with the finance department… He made sure I had what I needed while I waited (including finding me a charger as my iPhone was dying 30min into my appointment). He was very knowledgeable about his pre-owned inventory and helped me select a car that met all of my needs! I am now a very proud owner of a Certified Pre-Owned Nissan Altima! The finance department, especially David Conklin, also made the experience painless. He was able to get me into the car I wanted and for the price I wanted to pay. I know it was NOT easy for him, and he worked so hard to make sure I was happy. I am so thankful he treated me like a family member, not just another customer. I can say that I have never had a more personalized experience, EVER! I will ASOLUTELY be returning to Edison Nissan to purchase my next vehicle, most likely the new beautifully redesigned Rogue, in the next two years?
