I only got so far trying to teach myself how to knit online by watching videos, eventually I needed expert help. I have taken several knitting classes at Home Made and they have been great! The smaller class size allows for the one on one help you need from Julie whenever you drop a stich or are trying to read a new pattern. It is a great place to meet new people who are attempting the same new project you are. The class area is comfortable and relaxing allowing you to get lost in your project. One look at all the patterns and yarns available in the shop and you want one of each! It is such an awesome feeling making something for someone with your heart and hands. Knit on!

I started taking classes at this store last summer, and I just love it! So glad to have a place to get some quality fabrics and yarn in Cape May County. I was just getting into sewing at the time, and now Ive completed two of the Quilt in a Day as well as a repurposed memo board and some cute felt ornaments at the holidays! Looking forward to taking more classes and learning more here. Before this store opened, I traveled all the way to Cherry Hill to take a sewing lesson at a major chain store. My sewing class at Home Made was more personal and more informative, and much closer to home. The owner is patient and kind, and Im glad to have made her acquaintance through the store.

Going to the Home Made shop feels like visiting a friend who has a great stash of quality supplies. Julie is always friendly and so helpful when I am having trouble deciding on colors or fabrics. She has a great artistic eye. It was through this shop that I rekindled my love for sewing and actually learned the right way to do it through a few classes. Now I am beginning a new love affair with knitting and again its Home Made classes that are helping to make that happen. It is a small shop but packed full of high quality products.

10 reasons I love Home Made 1. Its run by an amazing, independent business woman 2. The inside is always beautifully presented 3. Julie carries yarns that other places dont 4. Julie is always ready to help pick out yarn for a project 5. She carries unique gifts for knitter friends 6. I want all the fabric even though I barely sew 7. This isnt an "everything but the kitchen sink" store. The products are top quality and fabulous 8. I get inspired every time I visit 9. Classes to learn new things 10. Shopping local!

I highly recommend visiting Home Made. The owner, Julie, is welcoming and knowledgeable and she has plenty of sample projects on display if you are in need of crafty inspiration. The store is stocked with high quality yarn that you cant find at other yarn shops or in big box craft stores. I purchase all of my yarn and knitting supplies from Home Made. The cozy atmosphere, crafty chit chat, and quality products are definitely worth a visit.

i had a lovely experience at home made last week. julie was really pleasant and let us poke around until we found what we were looking for. my mom picked up some cotton tape to finish an apron (which is now in paris) and i bought a wonderful grey linen which has made my new favorite shirt. im a bit embarrassed it took me so long to visit the store, but am excited to have such a top notch source of supplies close to home. thank you!

Home Made ROCKS!!! Have enjoyed many "YarnClub" get togethers...meeting new people, purchasing gorgeous yarns and creating many pieces for myself or as gifts. Julie is always super helpful and very encouraging {goodness knows I need it!} I also have taken a beginners sewing class...never sewed a day in my life...Made a beautiful wine tote from her selection of fabulous material. I HIGHLY recommend stopping by...

Lovely store with an even better yarn & fabric selection! I love shopping here for all my crafty needs. I always get compliments on my Knit Collage scarves and Madeline Tosh hats. Julie is perpetually super friendly & willing to help. Its always an extra perk if you get to see the resident toddler who is quite the ladys man :)
