Horrible place. Nothing but trash for sale. The reviewer below, "JM King" is clearly an owner or associated with this hole of hell. "Junk Merchandise King" OK... Ill give an example: I bring in a gold ring to sell. I know for a fact that it is 18K gold and it is 15 grams with no jewels. I have the paperwork on it from when I bought it, which also includes the weight of the ring down to tenths of a gram. So. I know I will only get melt price for it. Meaning whatever the daily scrap value of the metal is for that day. First, they try to tell me that it is only 10k gold without even doing an acid test. WRONG. I insist on the acid test, then they say that they made a mistake, that its 14k gold. WRONG. But I play along. They weigh the ring and magically, the ring is 4 grams lighter than it really is according to them. That doesnt sound like a lot, but when gold was $38.22 PER GRAM that day, that would be a rip of over 150.00 Next, these a-holes try to tell me that the melt value of 14k (even though the ring is 18k) is only $18.00 that day - I pull out my smartphone and pull up the gold prices from several recognized sources and 14k is $27.32 per gram that day. So their response is that they have to charge a certain percentage for the "melt fee." So, for a ring whose melt value that day was $573.30; these a-holes wanted to get away with paying $198.00 Needless to say, I did not sell to them. Dont buy from them either, as they dont know what the hell they are talking about. I ask to look at LCD TVs They show me one that is a 24 inch. They say its 47 inches. I ask how they come to that measurement: The guy measured the length and the height and added it together and PooF! 47 inches. (Screen measurements are made diagonally from top corner to lower corner) In short: avoid this place at all costs. I dont care how desperate you are to sell something, dont do it here.

-1 star. This SwapShop is no better then the Thieves and Junkies they are buying from. They were made aware they were in possession of My property which was also know as Stolen Property. The GTPD made them aware of this BUT in less then 24 hours of receiving MY property they sold it. The local PD is having issues with them in this subject we well. So there are people who are walking around with stolen items that are registered with their serial numbers as STOLEN. Good luck if you get pulled over with my things cause they are Red Hot and if you have them you will and wait I will pursue issuing a Stolen Property report against you for receiving stolen property. If you are a Junkie or a Thief this is a great place for you BUT if you like laying your head on your pillow quilt free with a clear conscience at the end of the day this is not for you. Nothing is better for free advertising then Social Media, Food Servers and Hair Stylist because we can make bad reviews travel faster then Wildfire then word of mouth. Good Luck SwapShop not like I didnt tell you I was going to do this. It falls under my Freedom of Speach that my father grandfather and many other family members have fault for and I will continue to express that as long as I have a mouth to express it from and others would like to hear.

I agree with Ashley. Ive been in this store a few times to sell some things. One item was a brand new crystal chess board/set. John, the owner looked it up on Ebay in order to give me an offer and showed me on the screen what he was looking at. I thought that was only fair, and a very good way to see comparable pricing. He is pleasant and so is his staff and they are very knowledgeable about many different things and when they are not sure; they are up front and tell you so. I have sold some of my gold there, a couple of my husbands tools. Rarely do they turn anything away. I didnt get to read the review that Ashley is speaking about, but whatever it was, I think the person was expecting and asking too much from a very small but a hard working business. I plan on continuing to sell many of my unwanted items there in the future. Ive had my eye on a flat screen TV he has in there and hope that I can find something worth swapping for it. Check this store out. Tons of stuff available there. Best of luck on their remodel. I agree, it is small for all the stuff they have there and I have never ever been in the store where there wasnt at least 3-4 people there already, so I agree, they have a lot of customer turnover there. He must be doing something right.

Had a great experience in this store. Not only do they offer a more then fair price for your merchandise, but they also project an up beat vibe, and all around humorous atmosphere that makes you more than comfortable doing business with them. They have alot of great, unique, fair priced items in their store for sale, and are conveniently located right off of RT130. I suggest if you need to sell any unwanted Electronics or really anything you have lying around your house just taking up space, bring it to these guys. From the time I called them on the phone to the time I walked out the store was nothing but a positive experience. All the employees there are funny, and will surely brighten up your day, and they know there stuff when it comes down to buying and selling. Great job guys. Cant wait to come back. M. I spent my whole day speaking back and forth with one of the workers, JOHN, about purchasing a truck out front. Its a 2003 Ford Ranger and looked like it was in pretty good condition. My wife and I took a spin around the parking lot and it purred. He was asking 4,000 and we offered 3,500. We shook hands on 3,500 and my wife and I went off for dinner. We came back about an hour later and took it for a test drive for a second time. However, THIS time it rode rough and when we stopped it dumped out a bunch off filler (looks like coffee, smells sweet) from the head gasket. This scammer JOHN tried to sell us a car with an engine FULL of filler. It wouldnt have made the 4 block ride home. JOHN played dumb but there is no way this much filler could be in the truck without him knowing. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS GUY we almost made a $3,500 mistake.

I went in to sell a game console which was barely used and they wanted to buy it for like 20 bucks at most. I bought it for at LEAST $200. Next, i try to sell a basically brand new game which was worth around 50 dollars at the time and i could only get it sold for 9-10 bucks. I dont know if they were just trying to rip me off or something, but they have SOME good prices on stuff so i cant completely bash them. Either way, i would look into a good amount of information and prices before buying or selling from here.
