My boyfriend and I purchased a couch, a leather recliner and a coffee/end table set from salesman Joe on 03/03/2012, we paid cash for all three. Joe was neither friendly or personable, not a deal breaker but it would have been nice to see above average customer service for once. We asked Joe when the furniture would be delivered, he said the week of the 12th. On the 15th I called because I had not heard from Joe to set up for delivery. I spoke to Bill, he said we are now looking at the week of the 19th. I asked Bill why I was told the furniture would be delivered the week of the 12th if that was not an option. Bill said the delivery schedule doesnt track appropriately for the couch because it is so popular. After hanging up with Bill I told my boyfriend we would not be getting the furniture this week. He then called and again spoke to Bill. Bill told him that the couch was in but they were waiting on the recliner which would come in the week of the 19th. Bill would not send him an e-mail to confirm delivery for the week of the 19th. He said he can only give his "word" it would be here. Something is not right here, Bill told me the furniture wouldnt be in as promised because the couch was so popular and they hadnt recieved it yet. Bill told my boyfriend that the couch was in but the recliner was not. To be continued when and IF I ever recieve my furniture. Modern Furniture has our cash and we have nothing right now.

I had a great experience. I mean i ordered the furniture unseen from the internet and at such low prices didnt know what to expect. I am pleased with the furniture and am happy with the service. I thought the furniture was great in person. I called the store and worked with Ivan. The delivery guys were wonderful. They were polite, careful and did a wonderful and fairly quick job. Over all i think it was a great experience. The delivery charge was a little steep since a lot of places local offer free delivery, however all and all i cant beat the price even with delivery and everyone i worked with was wonderful. I havent actually used the bedroom set yet so i will follow up once i make use with quality.

All of the furniture in my home is furnished by Modern Furniture. I have a 3 year old son who is as rough as it comes and the furniture has withstood him climbing, jumping and playing on it! Customer service is exceptional even down to the delivery. They dont just drop off your items without care to your walls or doors, they are very professional. They measure your space before bringing your furniture in to ensure your items will fit, cover your floors so that they dont track your floors/carpet and they take their time to ensure your furniture is installed PROPERLY. I am a very pleased customer!

Our salesperson, Ivan, was very patient and very attentive. My husband hates furniture shopping and actually enjoyed this trip. We found a nice sectional, coffee table, and ends tables. We opted to have it all delivered vs. picking it up. Ivan ensured we were able to get our furniture in less than a week and we received it in 6 days! Every other place we looked at, we had to wait several weeks to have it delivered. The delivery guys were very professional, friendly, and efficient. This is by far the best furniture buying experience I have ever had!

I recently moved to South Jersey and was looking for a place where I can furnish my house for a reasonably cheap price. A friend of mine recommended me to this furniture place and said they were very reasonable and would work with me. I stopped and was blown away by how nice and helpful the staff was. I was able to furnish my entire house and everyone was helpful from the time of purchase to the time of delivery. I definitely will be coming back to make future purchases

Worst experience Ive ever had. The salesman Ivan overcharged me for tables that were $100 cheaper on their website and flat out lied about a sofa being a queen when it was a full. (I specifically stated I was looking for a queen sofa) I never took possession of the furniture. He refused to refund my money. When I told him I will dispute the charge on my credit card he actually said "go ahead we always win credit card disputes". I wish I could give zero stars.

Went to two other furniture places (The Dump - Turnsville) They were over priced and lower quality. I received a 2 page catalog in the mail yesterday for Modern Furniture and went checked it out. GREAT prices and the salesman John was very accommodating. I went in for a bedroom set but ended up buying a living room set as well as a matress. Im VERY happy with my purchase. Will buy from them again.
