I have never written a review before, but I have to in this case. This place and Tuscan Kitchen are over rated. They claim that they serve authentic Italian food, far from it. Had lunch today with husband after much hype from others. My salad was not bad, simple, with shrimp and a glass of wine and the butternut soup. Husband enjoyed the bread but the eggplant with the pasta and sauce was a huge disappointment. I have never tasted eggplant that smelled and tasted like fish, battered in a panko breadcrumb - not even Italian. We asked if they accidentally breaded the eggplant in the same batter as the fish, waitress said that they dont serve anything like that. So as we are leaving, we notice in the case filled with prepared food, i.e., eggplant and fish and other meats, the eggplant was placed next to the salmon and what looked like cod. Fortunately, they did take this dish off the menu. So the meals are not prepared fresh per order and someone needs to explain to the chefs there to move the fish to an isolated case. I cant believe they dont have more complaints. Dont waste your money. BTW, my husbands family has a successful restaurant in Italy. Tuscan Kitchen and Tuscan Market, dont even scratch the surface. Youre paying a high price for their imported products, high price on standard wines and the meals are not prepared properly.

Love this place and Its great for lunch and dinner. Their Paninis and Pizza are to die for. It can get chaotic there during busy hours so beware. The menu has some similar items to the Tuscan Kitchen but not as expensive. Its a great place to take a family for pizza and gelato. Some of the prices are on the high side. I did their holiday catering this year for Thanksgiving and Christmas and they accommodated for a family member who had to have low-sodium meals. The prices were fantastic for the amount of food we got. It was easy to reheat and serve and was delicious. Picking it up was a little chaotic and could have been better organized. My favorite dishes are the Bruschetta, Tacchino Panini and Margarita Pizza. Its definitely worth the stop to check out the market for fresh bread and pre-made foods at the least.

I will say that we have been coming here since day one of opening. On day one I would have given 5 stars, but as they have become busier the service and quality of the restaurant fair has gone down. We were there today for breakfast and we saw our server twice throughout the meal, once to take the order and once to give and take the check. The food was ok but compared to previous visits it was poorly executed. We ordered large coffees, and were given smalls. When I asked the runner why she said they had run out of large cups. However we were charged for large. We of course will eventually give it another try, but I was very disappointed in todays visit.

The Tuscan (Market) is always a hit. Great staff, awesome original Italian food (& others). Today we had grilled calamari with pancetta, diced carmalized onions in a light virgin olive oil. SO good! Second course was a small pizza with sausage and no cooked cheese, (allergic). So they cooked it to order with some aged parm lightly shaved over the top. So good. Extra points for accommodating my particular tastes. Wonderful deserts, (try the Lemon Terimisu!) And then you can shop for hard to find Italian foods afterwards!. Try it. You wont be disappointed!

My son and I were visiting the area from California and a friend suggested we try the Tuscan Market for breakfast business meeting. We were pleased we went. The breakfast with the Italian flair and service was great however the ambiance was very cool and really made our breakfast enjoyable. Whenever I go to Philly I eat at Ralphs and now whenever I go to Salem, Ill eat at The Tuscan Kitchen and Market. Glad to hear they are expanding. Great Job!

I never write reviews, but had to today. If I could give this zero stars I would. Stood at the counter for 5 minutes to order a lemonade with my husband. No one greeted us, even though they were 2ft. away and were more caught up in talking about who was closing tonight. We left upset, walking by 5 other workers ( who also saw us standing waiting) and no one said anything or seemed to care. Ill never go again. What a horrible first impression.

Expansive, but it defines upscale in the area. Pasta dishes are overpriced. Yes, theyre delicious, but come on, its pasta, gimme a break. Desserts, cocktails, beer, wine, appetisers, main courses, all of it are 5-start. Not a bad thing on the menu. Plus the owner puts on an annual exotics car show and is revitalizing the area. Props to him and his company, well done.

The service was terrible. We had to wait for our food for 55 minutes even though the place was relatively empty. The waitress was very standoffish and rude. Also the food itself was extremely bland and had no flavor whatsoever and was not worth the price that was charged. I will certainly not be returning.

I received a lovely basket for my birthday and enjoyed it except for the fact that the pepperoni was moldy all over and couldnt use. The Tuscan soup was delicious, the soda crackers, the chocolate, almond crackers were enjoyable. There should be better quality checks on items in these pre-made baskets.

A little piece of Italy in the heart of New England! The food is amazing, the staff is very friendly, and the atmosphere is inviting. Recommended if youre interested in a quick bite there, fresh pasta and sauces to take home, Italian specialties, and desserts that are amazing in both appearance and taste.

The Tuscan Market is a very authentic and unique place to shop or eat. They have a vast selection of meats, cheeses, wines and other specialty groceries. There is also a dining area with some very nice, but slightly pricy food options. They also have a gelato counter which is excellent.

A total gem of a place if your in the mood to cook Italian. The fresh pasta and breads are exceptional. There is an extensive selection of cheeses and Italian sauce. There is a cafe on premises as well as a place to eat lunch. I highly recommend Tuscan Market.

I was expecting more. Mediocre service. Minimal knowledge of the ingredients, which blows my mind from a "scratch" kitchen. Olive oil w/bread had a bitter almost rancid bite. Sea salt "pinch" in oil was more a chunk. Felt more like a "Eat-a-ly" knock off.

Food has steadily gotten worse. Poor quality, smaller portions, no taste. They need a new chef. This place is nothing but a good marketing project. Expensive for what you get. How hard is it to make pancakes? Dont waste your time here.

Really good food in a more casual almost cafeteria atmosphere compared to the Tuscan Kitchen. Menu is really nice, but its not as warm or cozy as the Kitchen - a little loud at times too. Food though, is outstanding.

Neat selection of food and items. I usually go here to get gelato, which is always good. Theres kind of nowhere to sit and eat it though and they have zero trash cans outside to throw out your cup, pretty stupid.
