Horrible place to shop. Racist and sexist owner. I would never give my money to a man like that. The service is bad and so is his prepared food. Id rather eat out of a cat box. I highly recommend Philbricks or Mckinnins in Portsmouth on layfayette rd. . Both of those shops have first class employees and the freshest products at a fair price. . Give them a try and stay away from on the vine. , you will be glad that you did.

An excellent selection and very fresh meat, fish, and produce make “On the Vine” a wonderful alternative to the big markets. Lots of gourmet extras that can be hard to find as well. Would like to see them expand their cheese offering substantially as well as offer more non-prepared cuts of meat (specifically large cuts) that can be hard to find.

The hot wraps are amazing!! The only bad thing is the staff at that section is NOT friendly at all! I have gone in 3 times this week and each day had a different person help us and all 3 of them seemed to be so inconvenienced and bothered to have to help us. Other than that it is awesome!

Great selection of fresh vegetables, meats and fish. Great selection of local beer and wine as well. Usually a little pricier than the bigger grocery stores but the organic selection is much nicer. Dont forget about the desserts! Cakes, pies... yum!

This market is the best, everything is fresh ! The in-store bakery is outstanding. The meats are great and the deli is great. I love the fish, although pricey it is the best quality. And the selections of wines and beers are terrific.
