As a loyal and satisfied customer I decided to shop for my 6HP Mercury outboard motor at the Las Vegas Bass Pro Shop location. I arrived on the day before Easter and knew exactly what I wanted. the sales person was courteous and explained I could purchase today, but it would take about a week to prep the motor for pick up. He then explained that they do not extend military discount to large purchase items and that there was a $49 documentation fee. He did not know what the doc fee entailed, so he sent the manager of the boating department over to explain. She stated it was for registering the warranty and conducting the transaction. I stated I understood the policy on not extending the military discount, but requested she waive the $49 doc fee. She said no and stated she needed to get back to the Easter Bunny signing. Break-Break. I left the store, drove to Boulder Marine, asked for the same motor. They prepped and gave instructions at 430 p.m. on a Saturday with not even blinking an eye. Then they laughed about the doc fee. Told me it was not necessary. Then gave me a discount that beat Bass Pro Shop. I was on the river the next day, saved money, and felt appreciated. I returned the favor by returning the following Monday and making another very large purchase. I now purchase online after window shopping at bass. Shame too since I thought I might actually be a loyal customer based on my reward card. I guess selling $5 trinkets to kids was more important than a $2000 motor they had on the shelve.

Im sooooo not a Bass Pro Shop fan but this store is a mini amusement park! OMG! Theres boats in the store! Are you kidding me? Like fishing boats and I would totally buy one lol. I literally felt like I just walked into Wonderland! Theres so much to see including two aquariums with various kinds of fish and turtles. I thought it would be a quick walk around the store but when you have an Archery Range in a room in the store, that can give you an idea of how big this store is. Theres an upstairs with equally interesting things there. They literally have anything you need to shop and camp overnight. Attire, equipment, supplies, back up supplies, just anything you can think of. There were even a couple of pink fishing poles that made me think twice. It took me at least 30-45 minutes to just "see" everything and marvel at the two waterfalls....oh yeah, they have a waterfall in the store! Its not huge, but a waterfall, in the store? There are all kinds of things hanging from the ceiling and on the walls of the store; whomever did the decor, went creatively nuts....and it worked out brilliant! I wanted to stay a while and just enjoy the sound of the waterfall but I didnt want them to think I was trying to steal or anything lol lol. This had to be one of the most interesting, fun, overwhelming, massive stores I thought Id never want to go into. You HAVE to visit this store at least once!

drove an hour and a half today to buy a particular muzzleloader scope at the Bass pro in Las Vegas, walked up to the scope case there was one associate helping a customer and one just standing there so I asked the one doing nothing to hand me the scope so I could purchase it and was rudely told they would not talk to me unless I got a number so I did and walked back to the counter so he could hand me the scope, he told me wait for my number then walked off. I found that they were on number 6 my number was 12, I waited for 20 minutes for it to change to 7. I saw the manager standing there so I explained to him I had drove 1 1/2 hours to get there and I only had another 10 minutes before I had to leave for work. He just told me take a number it was policy that they would only help when they called my number. I watched him for five more minutes doing nothing so I walked up handed him my number and told him they had just lost a customer he looked unconcerned and maybe Bass Pro feels the same way after reading all the complaints about the gun department and not doing anything about it, maybe they are not concerned about one customer that was ready to buy but maybe they will realize that we all add up. It worked out in the end I made it to work and bought the same one on Amazon for $60 cheaper. If I could give zero stars I would, horrible is the grade I give them!

This store is HUGE! You could spend days there looking at all the items. Its convenient that they have products on display for you to check out before you buy. They have a vast amount of items in each section and I have not found its equal. Camping, Fishing, Guns, Archery (they even have lessons/target practice for archery), boats, ATVs, Men/Womans clothing, Hunting gear. Quite impressive. Regarding pricing, after all my research and going from every sports store in Vegas and online. I found Bass Pro Shops my top pick because you can buy everything in one place. If there is something specific you want check around for pricing. Some items may be less at Bass Pro and other items might be slightly more. Lastly, kids love the rather large fish aquarium and the stuffed Lions, Giraffe, etc. animals are quite impressive. If you have never been to a Bass Pro Shop this is a must see place. I have shopped there many times and service is always helpful. Thanks for reading!

Bass Pro Shops, customer service sucks now. I use to like, it was a pretty good place to buy guns from. I had a rain check for a gun since summer of 2011, they last month they finally called me that my gun was in, and I had a week to come get it. So, I came in a week later to get it and found out they sold it already. The associate that was helping me was pretty surprised that they had sold it so soon and was trying to do what he can to help. So, he got the store manager to come talk to me about it, and pretty much all I got was "oh well you lost out and nothing they are going to do about it but if I wanted they are going to stick me in the back at the end of the rotation". I think that at least they could have put next to be called when the item comes in again and I would have been happy with that. But, the fat a__hole, was like whatever. Great customer service. From now on I will get my outdoor gear and anything else from somewhere else.

I went to Bass Pro Shop at the Silverton last week to look at some rifles for hunting. I had plans on going hunting before the year is over and still dont have anything to hunt larger game with. I didnt really know which caliber of rifle i needed to hunt game like elk and deer effectively. But, one of the salesmen there started talking to me about the differences in caliber and how they perform as well as what size i would need to take down my prey. We ended up talking and looking at the different rifles for a long time until I finally decided on getting a cheap but still decent Savage that shoots .308. It really seamed like the salesmen wanted to help me and make sure i got a rifle in a caliber and style i would be happy with. Ive been there before to look at all the cool toys and such, but this was the first time ive made a purchase there. Im really happy with it too.
