I called several days before I wanted to go in, stating that although I had already bought a dress from another Impressions store, I wanted to try the same, or a very similar, dress on in order to decide on headpieces. The lady I spoke with on the phone was very kind and stated that she would make me an appointment to come in and try on headpieces and veils. Upon arriving, I met with the lady who I spoke to on the phone, who could not have been nicer. And then the owner walked up... She immediately asked what we were doing there, and when we told her, the response was "Oh we cant do that. If youre not buying a dress here we cant help you, you cant take someone elses appointment time." I explained that I had made an appointment in order not to "waste" the associates time, but the owner continued to be incredibly rude. In addition, she pulled the associate who was originally helping me away for another appointment, who had shown up 45 minutes early (and was now taking MY appointment time). I finally was able to convince the owner to help me into a dress very similar to the one I had already purchased, and we began to try on accessories. After every one, the owner would comment "So this is it? This is the one you want?", and I would have to explain that no, I was still trying on and wanted to continue to try a variety of styles before making a decision. The owner, who was continuing to "help" me, made no secret of her irritation with me, and did not make any attempt to straighten the dress as I was moving around, or help learn my preferences in order to make the best decision. In the end, I was incredibly turned off by the entire store. It was certainly not the associates fault who made the appointment, but I could not have been more disappointed in the overall experience. I had been planning on looking for other dresses as well (bridesmaids, etc.), but now plan on going elsewhere and warning everyone I know that they should not shop here!!!

While the selection at the Wedding Gallery locations is mediocre. It was really the situation after the purchase of my wedding gown that is so disgusting. I purchased a sample Romona Keveza gown for $2500. I paid for it up front, despite the fact that it had a HUGE stain on the top of the dress. They swore they could get the stain out so I took them at blind faith and gave them the benefit of the doubt. At that same appointment, I asked for alterations to be made and per each change, asked for an estimate. The woman helping me that day, Beth, stated they would be no more than "a couple hundred dollars." We (my fiance who came with me, mother via cell phone, and myself) all heard the same thing. Two weeks later, I came in to meet with the "seamstress." It seems that despite the quote of a couple hundred, these alterations would amount to over $3,000 in addition to the $2,500 I already spent buying the dress. When I asked if this could be discussed or how we can remedy the situation, I was told too bad and that the owner refuses to speak with me. Mortified and sadly, I went back, picked up the dress and was told by THREE other tailors that these alterations would be no more than $700 with a skirt being handmade and beading done included. Apparently, this companys M.O. is that they get you to buy a rather used sample gown for a reasonable price and then hike up the alterations. They also require you to buy on the spot so once the dress is purchased, they can make you feel forced to now get them to do alterations. It is almost disgusting business. I WARN ANYONE BUYING THEIR GOWN TO LOOK ELSEWHERE! This is a sham, frankly a miserable experience, and by the way, the alterations I am now having and then some are only costing me $700 TOTAL. Beware! I felt I have to post a review as a cautionary tale to other brides.

I had a great experience at the wedding gallery in st. Charles! I had never tried on wedding dresses before and wasnt sure exactly what I wanted.. but my consultant Beth sure knew what i would love! Before my visit Beth asked me about my venue and she looked it up to make sure my dress would go perfectly with my venue.. how awesome is that. the very first dress I tried on she said I think this one is going to be it. And it was everything I was wanting, without at that moment, knowing it was everything I wanted. I tried several more dresses on and kept saying "I want more of this and more of that" forgetting what the first dress looked like as I kept trying more and more on, Beth was a trooper because I took up my whole appointment time trying on dresses, and I never once felt rushed. finally 5 min till the end of my appointment Beth put me back in the first dress I tried on and I immediately started crying when I saw myself in the dress... it was everything I kept asking more of. I knew it was my dress and Beth knew it was too before I even tried it on. Beth was super sweet, kind and listened to everything I wanted and she delivered! I didnt think any of the dresses I tried on were "old" or "out of style" all their dresses are gorgeous! You just have to find your style. As I was trying mine on I was also looking at the dresses other girls were trying on and they were all beautiful dresses. The owner was also very nice and helpful, she would come over and fix the dress in little ways so I could see the detail better (because Im a size 0 and the dress I had on was really big). My overall experience was amazing and if I could redo it over again at the wedding gallery I definitely would!

Worst customer service. Maybe the owner would know better than to have a bride try on and then sell a dress that is two sizes too small, but now it seems that may have been a ploy for her to purchase the dress on a day when youre half off sale was ending within a half hour. THEN if you did sell a dress such as that you would STRESS that the bride CANNOT gain any weight so that she could (and probably would) reconsider. Being present at this appointment, this was never said loud enough for the party and mother to hear and then there would have been objections further. Follow up to alterations day where the bride was basically told to drop weight or the dress wouldnt work or would cost almost the same as the original price and was TOLD she must have put on at least 20 pounds. WHAT BRIDAL SHOP IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD SAY THAT TO A BRIDE TWO WEEKS BEFORE THERE WEDDING?? Your shop should never have sold a dress that didnt and wouldnt fit without being completely honest. Though the situation was tried to be rectified by exchanging the dress for another dress that cost $1,000 more than her original. Because the owner was helping the nice ladies out. She didnt do anything but stress the bride and her mother out and wanted the situation swept under the rug by whipping out a debit card to pay for a more expensive dress that she didnt want in the first place. And the comment made by the owner that the brides friend was stressing the bride out was laughable, as this company, her, and her rectification was a joke. Would never recommend this store or the owner to anyone that wants to have an enjoyable experience and leave knowing theyll left with THE dress.
