Went in to get a pistol a Taurus snub nose which was priced $250. My fiancé offered. To trade in his extra pistols a cz82 and m88a both are $250 average retail. Which they lown balled him and offered only $100 credit per pistol. He even offered a 3rd pistol. a cheap hi point retail $140- 160 plus the cz82 and m88a just to see if they would accept $650 worth in pistols which they can double their investment by trading the $250 Taurus for 3 working pistols a $650 retail value. Every time he offered each pistol the sales guy kept going to the back to talk to his boss, like a kid asking his dad permission to take a piss...until my fiancé asked to talk to him directly (the owner) because its ridiculous to have to leave a customer every time to ask the boss. When the owner came to counter he stood there looking at us. Didnt introduce himself at all. Like how most good salesmen or owners would do. He seemed irritated like he didnt like to help or even work on a layaway deal. I would not buy anything from these guys. My fiancé previously bought guns at eagle armory which by far has the best prices, customer service including layaway. And trade in. Cherokee firearms is a joke

Went in today for the first time. I saw on their website that they had a Beretta Pico. I wanted to see one in the flesh. I knew I wasnt ready to buy it, but I wanted to handle one. Inside the shop, I asked the guy behind the counter if he had one. He said yes, and started to pull it out of the case. I explained I wasnt ready to buy because I hadnt even handled one yet. He didnt even hesitate to pull it out. After clearing it, he handed it to me. He pulled out another small .380 for me to compare it to. My significant other tried it out as well. I explained we were just checking it out. We spent the next 15 minutes or so just looking around. The staff was friendly and not pushy. It was a family type atmosphere. I looked at probably 50 holsters. We stopped back by the case and talked with the guy behind the counter again. He was pulled another handgun out for us to look at. The customer service was outstanding, even though we told them up front that we werent ready to buy. I hope we can do business with them in the near future.

I am looking for a gun shop I can frequent, trying to build a collection, and pick up some necessities as well (I have too much money, not enough guns). I stopped in to get a vibe, also needing to make a SMALL purchase (pistol grip screws). I did not find the people here to be helpful. First person I asked said they didnt stock that sort of thing and referred me to another person(no biggie) who said if I brought mine in they could fit some screws. I pointed out that they had a gun EXACTLY like mine in the case, quasi suggesting that we use it for fitment. He agreed that it was indeed the gun that I was trying to fit and went about his business. Point being: I could have walked out a happy camper with the thing I was looking for and potentially having a shop I could work with, but they could care less it seems.

Dont do trade ins here they will take advantage of you especially inexperience gun owners. The counter guys always leave you to talk to owner for trade ins or if you try talking down on price for used pistol. When I asked to speak with owner (got tired of the counter, guy going back and forth) the owner never greeted me which most business owners do instead had a pissed off look, and tried low balling me himself.. Never have I had this problem at other gun stores especially at eagle armory or even back home at kalamazoo Michigan at on target gun store where that store works with customers on trade INS, price negotiating, and layaway. I lived here for a year now but I will never do business with this company especially when I plan on getting a berreta 92A1

I went to Cherokee Firearms today as a complete novice when it came to guns. I left as a proud owner of my first handgun. The staff was all very helpful and quite friendly. The other customers, too, gave me friendly advice, making the overall atmosphere in the store really delightful. I happened to bring my husband with me, as we both had the time to spend together; the staff at Cherokee quickly picked up on the idea that this was going to be "my gun," and never talked over my head at my husband. I really enjoyed my experience today, and highly recommend it.

Very, very rude, arrogant and ignorant service. They told me they had the exact powder I wanted when I called, then they exchanged it for a different one after I drove over an hour to get to their store. When I asked why, they were extremely rude. I was told to take it or leave it. Ill not be going back. Their knowledge of powders is quite poor. I also heard them putting down a customers Remington rifle while I was there, telling him things about it that I know arent true.

This is a great place to buy firearms. I went in with my father to check out a pistol for him and we both ended up buying one. They were very helpful and informed us about all the different guns we were thinking about. They even put up with all my questions after I came back in thinking by guns new barrell had rust in it, it didnt. Then when I lost my receipt they agreed to make me a new one for my guns rebate. Overall a great store

Ive visited Cherokee Firearms only about 3-4 times in the last 2 years. Their level of service has always been exemplary. I recently purchased a firearm from them because they took time to educate me on my options and offered me a fair price. They also suggested high quality accessories for my special needs. Ill certainly go back in the future. Looking at the ratings, I guess people "love em or hate em." I, for one - love em!

Huge assist from Seth, took in my Walther P22 with laser ( I thought laser batteries were dead) batteries were fine laser was dead. They had two replacements, original Walther with tiny on/off switch and a Crimson Trace with large buttons on both sides! With my MS effecting my sense of touch, the buttons were a huge improvement. Also great tip to cock easier. Thanks again and great value.

Good selection, They dont carry cheap handguns or rifles, only quality. Staff is helpful and somewhat friendly, They always have 22lr ammo, but only supply 1-2 boxes at a time, so greedy ammo buyers cant snatch everything up. Id recommend checking them out. Little pricey on a lot of their ammo, but overall nice place.
