Very dissatisfied we came up here from Florida wanting some souther fried cat fish we heard a lot of people say this was the best place we ordered catfish and my grand daughter had to order catfish nuggets on the menu come to find out we all got nuggets so small of prices ,no fillets at all ,why would you serve little pieces of fish and call it catfish ? Cracker Barrel has the real catfish fillets will never go back there again discussing peopl were friendly ,but the flies were everywhere also so sorry was craving real catfish fillets oh well go back through Kentucky and get some good cat fish at a place called cat fish kitchen in Paducah

Well, a friend and I wanted to try this place during the week so we went. Upon entering we smelt a very potent fish smell that smelled like "rotten" fish and the place was as dirty as any given Long John Silvers. We went over to their duct taped booth seating and sat down. After a few minutes of waiting we had to go get our own menus only to see the high prices ($12.95 for some battered shrimp, fries and 2 hush puppies)? and that doesnt include the drink! We left before the waitress could ask us what we wanted to drink...

Oh my goodness! This was the first time we have ever been here and we will be GOING BACK SOON! The fried pickles were perfection; the selection of sauces available incredible. One of our friends from out of town recommended we go there while she was visiting as she hadnt been there in a number of years. Wow - was she ever right! I cant wait to go back again. BEST fried catfish Ive had in years and fried okra that cant be beat! You owe it to yourself to go!

Atmosphere is very unique and food quality is definitely better than chain restaurant seafood. The family favorites include jambalaya, fried alligator and fried shrimp. The spicy seasoning on the alligator seemed different than the other fried foods. Catfish was good but didnt stand out to us like we expected. The flavor of the shrimp was very noticeable... Amazing difference when not frozen fish. Would recommend during daylight hours. Location is pretty remote

Veterans Day, November 11, 2015. I discovered this place from a Kansas City news story. Some lowlife guy walked out without paying and because of that, we have now found a most excellent place for catfish, shrimp, PoBoys, gumbo, jambalaya, hush puppies, gizzards, homemade coleslaw. It just goes on. EVERYTHING is fresh and delicious. Their seasoned fries are fantastic. If these types of food are what you like, youll love The Fish Market.

Excellent food and friendly staff! I have been here with different people about 6 times and everyone loved the food. Im not a big fan of the catfish po boy sandwich. It was too bready for me, but a lot of people really enjoy it. Catfish nuggets and fries are still my favorite. Fish is so tender and fries have a great flavor and texture. Friends say the BBQ, fried pickles, gumbo and alligator are worth returning for.

Service was TERRIBLE. We waited over 10 minutes before anyone even stopped at our table. When we finally got service, our server had to return to our table 3 times to get my wifes order correct, 6 wings and fries. I ordered red beans and rice and received jambalaya. When we received our bill it was wrong, charged for more beers than we ordered. We wont be back....

I ordered the smoked catfish basket and had the fried alligator as an apatizer. I thought the catfish was a nice sized fillet smoked very well and seasoned perfectly the alligator was also very good though it was my first time eating it. The staff was friendly and attentive. I also enjoyed the décor. I would definitely recommend a cost.

The food was excellent. The waiter was almost nonexistent. Asked about a menu item and he just pointed to the wall like the picture was good enough. Could not get refill. Another customer got up for water herself. When I left a small tip he actually followed out to complain. Wont be back.

Overpriced. Ordered a catfish platter and it came out in nuggets, who does this? Took 15 minutes for us to get our drinks, just a bad experience overall. Other person I was with ordered a tenderloin and could barely eat half of it due to how salty and spicy it was. Will not be returning.

Weve been here before and it was great. Today, not so much. The fish was fishy and the shrimp rubbery. It was just not up to par. We will go back. Hoping it was just an off day for this Historic little hot spot.

The atmosphere is fairly nice the beer is cold the hush puppies are bland as possibly could be, the breading on the fried shrimp was not crunchy. Very nice staff though. Two specials and two beers cost $45....

Ordered to go. The place was chaotic and not well organized. Got home ten minutes later and the jambalaya and gumbo were both ice cold. Not even heated up. Didnt get any sauce with the conch fritters either.

Tonight was our first time here. Weve passed by it many many times & have always been curious. The food was fresh & hot. Portion sizes were perfect! The boiled shrimp were HUGE! Well be back for sure!

Sorry but this place was very overpriced. It being a fish market you would think a catfish filet would be available. We got shrimp and fish basket and couldnt tell which was fish which was shrimp.

This is a hidden gem in Liberty, MO! Not much room and parking is a bit of a problem if they are busy, but great spot to grab some good hand battered fried foods and a (very) cold beverage!

This was the best Catfish and fried shrimp Ive ever had. It was perfectly cooked. And the beer is so cold its like a slushy. I will definately be going back. Parking is a bit of a mess.

Consistently good. Great Cold Beer Goblets. Would love to see oyster night a couple times a month and maybe some crabs every once in awhile. Overall a nice experience.

Messed up my food 2 times refused to remake it, some guy that worked at the bar was slamming stuff around and started to scrap the stuff off with a spoon with no gloves

The atmosphere reminds me of home (San Pedro CA). Great seafood! Wish they had crab and crawfish though! If you want fresh seafood this is the place!
