I bought the newer version of flexi retractable leash (flexi: do not buy this brand retractable leash at Petco. Flexi one(they used to carry) was a good one but they carry only the newer version which is really really bad)and one month later, it didnt retract well, the leash was twisted and the leash was hanging outside of handle(about 3 inches).I thought it was no big deal. I had to straighten the leash and I kept on using. Soon it became so bad, half of the leash didnt work. I went to Petco and asked if they could exchange the one which worked( possibly other brand) The staff said that 30 days or 60 days whatever their dead line for exchange was over, I had to buy a new one . I should have come to Petco when this leash had 2 or 3 inch didnt work. If you buy something there, and find it doesnt work. Do NOT wait too long, they will NEVER exchange or RETURN (even though their product is DEFECTED one).

Yesterday was my first time at this Petco. I needed collars and harnesses for my cats (dont want to risk it when going to the vet .. at Petco / Webster Groves cheap pet vaccine weekends! really.. its CHEAP!) and the girl was friendly, pleasant, and worked with me as I was trying to find certain colors for a cat I am adopting this weekend while not letting my mother know what was up ;) GREAT JOB on finding a harness with the color in it I liked for only $3.oo on the clearance rack (dog section on the right.. better selection anyway). I also found quality cat food (3.5lbs x 3 bags!) for $2.oo each on the clearance roller rack! Picked up flavored cuttle bones for TWENTY CENTS each! I love my pets but saving money in a clean store with great helpful staff is a MUST!

I stopped at this location while I was on my way to pickup my first pup. I had a 3 hour drive and knew all other pet stores would be closed by 10 PM so I stopped here. I spent sometime trying to get someone to help me since this is all new to me. Not one person stopped to help despite the fact we were the only customers in the store. The bag of dog food we picked up was mislabeled so when I get it to the register it rang up 3x the price I saw, so my fiancé went to swap it out. Right as that happened the cashier just walked out, I dont know where he went but it took an additional 10 minutes before someone else stopped to check us out. With that in mind I am sure glad the Petco by my house isnt as incompetent as this one.

I went to buy some fresh water fishes, and I asked for healthy/big looking fishes. The worker that was helping me gave me a terrible attitude saying, I dont want to swirl around the fishes because theyll get stres and she gave me half dead fishes.I do not want to pay for those sick/ half dead fishes. Seriously, just because she was having a bad day, she should not reuine someone elses day like that. Please work on your Customer Service.

I was not met with the best customer service. Perhaps I was not seen as a customer because I was there to either exchange or return a jacket that turned out to be too small for my schnauzer. Now it could be that the staff members are readjusting from the Holiday furry that retail stores tend to be met with. Nonetheless simple eye contact, professionalism, and a smile go a long way... even if returns are considered criminal these days.

Ive only been here once because I live in another area and frequent another location, but the staff here were very friendly. They helped me from the moment I walked in, and they even walked me over to the department I needed. Their selection of Elizabethan collars was great, and they also matched the online price that I saw before arriving! They even had purple! Five stars isnt near enough....Id give more if I could. :-)

I really like how clean the store is and their selection of items. I absolutely love the dog trainer Barb. She has taught us so much. However, Im not a huge fan of one of the dog groomers. But there is a guy that is so sweet and patient with her.

I have taken my puppy to a few different petcos and this is by far the best location! My pup loves coming in for a bath(which he hates doing at home) they take very good care of him.
