Recently, I decided to embark on acquiring my CCW due to recent events close to home. I found TOP GUN along with many on the Web. TOP GUN appeared to come across very professional in the training offered, thus I choose them. I am a martial artist that has been training for over 40 years in unarmed combat. It is quite obvious to me that these folks know their stuff when it comes to CCW and handgun defense. Although I had not shot a weapon in over 25 years and had only shot a handgun twice (two trigger pulls) in my entire life, this group assisted me in my learning curve. They were not pompous nor ego driven. They are every day Joes who love to assist you. Each day I would show the staff my target shots and ask for their advice in drilling down my pattern. They gave me EXPERT advice on aiming, trigger pull and recoil management to the point of me going from shot groups 12 inches apart to 0.5 inches apart in three weeks time. In addition, I was able to rent the wall of guns so that I could find the best weapon for my carrying needs. I bought 5 handguns from them (trading in 2 guns that did not serve me well) and ALL of them were very affordable. The shooting range is the only one that I have ever shot at, but it is very clean, cool, and managed well! I have joined them as a SILVER MEMBER and the membership is well worth the price, especially when you take into consideration of the discounts you receive on all services/purchases.

Moved to Missouir recently and got my CCP here. The instructor was great but I cannot recall his name. Not a huge selection of weapons but what hey have is nice and Im sure they could get what you requested of them. Decent range and the sportsman club in Lonedale is very nice. I do wish they had a 100-500 and 500-1000 yard range. The cons....they never answer any of my emails from their "contact us" page. I had a question regarding suppressors but they failed to respond, so I purchased 4 new suppressors at another shop. I also had a question about the membership in Arnold and at the sportsman club in Lonedale...I was going to purchase the platinum membership but again, no response. I guess they are not interested in my business unfortunately. My wife did join the local membership and appears to enjoy it although there are a few ladies who think they know it all and tend to correct everyone instead of enjoying the shooting range. My wife and I are both 20+ year of military service and now retired, we have plenty of experience but find it funny when someone who has little experience seems to know it all. You never know that company you are in when in these places, so sometimes silence is golden.

Top Gun is an excellent place for any first time shooter to visit. I went for my first time on Monday which happened to be ladies day at the shooting range. On Mondays they offer half off of range fees and FREE GUN RENTAL for women. I was able to try out any gun I wanted to determine which fire arm I felt most comfortable with. Rick behind the range counter actually walked into the range with me to help me learn, load, aim and shoot every gun I tried. He was so patient and sweet. After about 45 min. I determined that I like the Ruger SR9 best. I walked over to the sales counter and had a fantastic sales woman to answer my questions. This is the 4th gun shop I have visited in STL and I have never seen another woman behind the sales counter. Brittney is extremely knowledgeable and was able to advise me from a womans prospective. I came back a few days later to pick up my gun and the sales staff recognized me immediately, they knew me by name. I find it hard to believe that anyone could have a bad experience here. This place offers top notch service! I plan on becoming a member the next time I visit.

I purchased a Glock under the blue label program for military and police. They sold me the gun and when trying to pick it up they scanned my wifes mil ID and insisted they scan mine. The photocopying of a military identification card or a common access card is illegal under Title 18, U.S. Code Part 1, Chapter 33, Section 701. This is a criminal violation and offenders could face fines and imprisonment. I refused and after WAY too much debate they agreed to hand over the firearm if I just showed them my ID (like every other gun dealer in America). Finally its background check time, much to my surprise, I was delayed. The serviceman was kind enough to let me know it was probably because my military affiliation....Or the fact that I refused to let them scan my ID unnecessarily. I wonder what they do with all those CAC scans... Still waiting to be called to pick up the firearm and its been 5 days.

I drive 30 miles to get to Top Gun, passing up a number of alternatives. Great place to do business. The range is outstanding. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and they know their business. Prices are very competitive. And to the person who complained because the store wouldnt exchange a defective gun, I dont know any reputable gun business that will. Once you purchase a gun, any issues with that gun are the responsibility of the manufacturer. Not the dealer. Its for the dealers protection, as they have no control over how the gun has been used or handled once its sold. Ive lost track of how many "defective" guns Ive seen that were due to the tinkering of an amateur gunsmith, or using the wrong ammo, or any number of things. Ammunition is not returnable, for the same reason. Thats pretty much universal.

I took my 15 year old to Top Gun on Monday night, since we knew nothing and they were very busy as it is ladies day on Mondays so it was half priced, a very nice gentleman named Rick, made time to help us! We had the best time, but kept having to get him for help, and he had no problem every time we went to get him, even the other customers were really nice and informative! (My name is Carol and Im on my Sons account, btw.) I will be a regular there and Im planning to take the class to get my license to carry, its a one day course for 8 hours, My son and I finally have something we can share as a family! Thank you Rick and Top Gun! If you plan to go there make sure you take your ear protection, it gets very loud being an indoor range, and you are required to wear them along with safety glasses! 5 star all the way!

I never owned a gun until Joe D. started this range so close to my house. He sold me every once since - about 10 of them. I love this range and shoot whenever I get a chance. I really love the bowling pin matches the 2nd Thurs of the month and the tactical matches the last Thurs of the month. The new facility off the outter road is so much better than the first, which was very nice too. If you havent shot here yet, get down to Arnold and have some serious fun. The employees are super friendly and take no compromises on safety. Once you have shot there, you will want to become a yearly member and shoot as often and as long as you want. Tell them Bob P sent you! See you there! Bob P.
