ive never had a bad experience at this store...until tonight. I come here about once a month. Im still going to give it four stars Although i wouldve given it five if the cashier would have gotten me a box to put all my bottles of booze in without me having to ask him. How did he expect me to transfer 12 items from the cart to my car? Then, after I asked him he went and got a box, put it in my cart and left all the bottles sitting in the cart around the box for me to do it myself. In all my years of going to a liquor store never once has this ever happened where someone has made me bag my own bottles of booze. Not that i cant do it myself but Every time i have been here in the past they do it automatically without asking. I bought more than one of the same kind of liquor/wine and he insisted that I leave it in the cart so he wouldnt have to move all the bottles from the conveyor belt back into my cart. That makes sense and all but to not put them in a box for me I just dont get it. Laziness maybe? oh and also, he did not ask for my ID (another thing that has never happened at this store.) Someone needs to be retrained.

I dont know if this is just the best Roseville can do or if Im too picky, but after all the good things Ive heard about Total Wine this store was a huge disappointment. The selection is large without being particularly good, which left me feeling like I was trying to find a mediocre needle in a needlessly large haystack. On top of that, the prices were not all that low. Many of the beers and liquors I saw looked bog standard in price, in fact. If you live nearby check it out. But I found myself leaving after a very frustrating and at times baffling ten minutes and heading to much better selections and perfectly acceptable prices at Zipps and Big Top (yes, the Midway Big Top has a better liquor selection for the price). And if you want single beer bottles, save yourself the heartache of Total Wines worst-possible-imports-you-havent-heard-of options and hit up Ale Jail instead. They actually know what theyre doing.

I have been to another Total Wine in Florida and the experience was very different. At this Total Wine in Minnesota, I asked for help when I walked in. I wanted some information on various wines. I knew what I wanted but was looking for some expertise. I was handed over to a young man who knew nothing about wine! I knew more than he did! He had to keep asking other people about the different types of wine. It took forever because with every question, he had to find someone to ask. He did not know anything about their selection. He could not make any suggestions. I had also answered a survey online about Total Wine before I went. I answered based on a good experience in Florida. This store would not honor any coupons. We are only talking about $5.00 and I bought $195.00 worth of wine. Im just not feeling the love at the Roseville Store.

My experiences (and there have been MULTIPLE) have always been great. Ive never been badgered by a sales person and have often wished that there were a few more folks working so I could have more attention :). We Love the variety and selection of beer, spirits, and wine. And the prices just cannot be beat. What I have noticed is that Im more aware of what thing Can cost so that if ever I need to purchase at another store I know when something is way too expensive for me. I hate having to watch for sales and with TW you know that everyday is the best price that they offer. My only recommendation is that you dont shop on Friday night if you are looking to just stroll around and enjoy. Clean nice store - what a bonus to Roseville MN

Everyone reading this please boycott this company. My wife and I have been a customer at the Burnsville store. They lure people into their store with the promise of a free gift, i.e. wine glasses. We have a coupon from over a month ago which is now expired after having visited the store every week for a month just to get a set of these glasses. I speak to the customer service manager each and every week. His title should be changed to Customer NO Service as he is not willing to call or email us when a shipment does arrive. His words are you just need to come back next week. Really tired of the run around. There are many other liquor stores that are worthy of our business. Good Bye Total Wine !!

Terrible customer service. My wife and I made a trip to Roseville to buy some beer and maybe a couple of bottles of wine. We went to the wine tasting area where there were three other people standing at the counter tasting wine. He was not engaged in any conversation with the other individuals, just staring into space, I spoke and he did not respond, the dude serving the wine totally blew us off and wouldnt even acknowledge our presence. So after a couple of minutes of trying to get his attention, we just left. I ended up going to the Midway Big Top where the craft beer prices are vitually the same and the selection is adequate enough to suit my tastes. So goodbye....Total Wine!

So big its really oppressive. Completely uncurated; just acres of wine bottles that no one on staff could possibly have tried. All the gems and all the garbage, mindlessly stocked by a computer. A small store with a knowledgeable owner and a curated stock is a much better choice for anyone who cares what they drink. Bright Wines in N. St. Paul, for example. Prices are good but not outstanding. Morellis in St. Paul routinely beats them. For example, Bogle Essential Red today at Total Wine is $8.79 and at Morellis its $7.99 regularly priced, and less when on sale. (At either price, that one is a great buy!)

Incredible selection, great prices. The only downside I have with this place is that it is packed in the afternoons when I do my booze shopping. I am a craft beer and whiskey drinker, and the selections of both are really impressive. Perhaps not the best in the Twin Cities, but the prices are reasonable for what they do have. You could do one of the boutique shops and get maybe a few more beers, but youll pay much more. One thing to keep in mind, if you forgot your wallet at home dont bother. Even if you have a long gnarly beard with a sprinkling of gray hairs like I do, you get carded every single time.

This is an amazing liquor store. They have nearly everything you could want, plus the staff is super knowledgeable. When they were out of my favorite whiskey, the guy was able to tell me not only when they would have stock, but also that the distillery was experiencing a such an unexpectedly high demand that they werent able to produce enough to keep up. Its pretty rare that you get someone with that much information unless you only frequent boutique shops, and Ive never been to a liquor store where I can get that level of service. Also, the prices are really good.
