I dont remember feeling this abused in a store. I went to Pet Smart at Roseville today to get a specific prescription cat food Ive purchased many times in the past. They had moved it. I called my husband to get the exact name of the food we needed. I went around to the next aisle. I found Royal Canin for Felines, but it was not among them. So I went to ask where the food was. There were 2 very young women behind the desk, one helping someone pay her bill. I asked the other one where the food was. That it is a long hairy title doesnt help any. She pointed vaguely off to the east and got up to go through her swinging door to visit with her friends. I went to the dog section she had pointed at, and studied and studied, but only saw pictures of dogs on every bag. So I went back to ask again, emphasizing that I needed the CAT version, and she made it very, very clear that I was an unnecessary annoyance and that the "client" was visiting with endlessly was very, very important whereas I was not a valued customer in any way. She assured me that it was over there, and that she would help me find it when they were finished. Then the client made a snide nasty remark about how much she hates people like me, and the woman behind the desk agreed with her. If they like rage and evil so much, why not go into boxing instead? I just needed a bag of cat food. I had the woman at the register call the manager. She had to call 5 times. He was a nice young man when he did come, and he listened to me. On balance though I dont think they care about anyone in this store. They move and hide things and then wont tell you where they are, and hate you for asking. And if you to go Banfield Veterinary to get your pet looked at, they WILL make you go broke. We paid out over $2,000 on our cat before we gave up and took it to the Humane Society, despite that it was pedigreed. Take your pet to a real vet who cares about the Animal instead of whats in your wallet.

This has got to be one of the worst place a person could subject their pet to - I have someone the usually does my dogs nails - I hold her and they trim - not like most dogs she does not like it -.... WELL after today she will really not like it - I told them she did not like it and could nip .... this is after they assumed I did not have rabies shots - I had he UTD Tag on - had the vets phone number but could tell it was annoyed my vet is not in their little network system..... They took her - made sure I did not cross the line and come in the door - after she pulled away from the girl - she did not want to go with her - I picked her up just to be looked at like how dare I..... then they strap he down - choke hold - had the thing metal post she was tied to slam down - and they are pushing her back on the table ... hey how about tring some claming exercise after this stress - no just go right at her than another one - then my dog got scared yelped and thrashed around with spit coming out and they just let her thrash..... then the one girl just goes we cant do it she needs to go to a vet..... BS - she needs to go get a different job. All the while I am stuck watching - making sure the control abuse freaks scare the crap out of my dog. IT IS THE WORST PLACE TO GO .... DONT SUBJECT YOUR DOG TO IT - ESP IF YOU ARE NOT THERE TO WATCH - COULD ONLY IMAGE IF i HAD NOT BEEN THERE - THE ONE GIRL WAS BEING RUDE TO THE OTHER DOG ON THE TABLE... STAY FAR AWAY THERE ARE MUCH BETTER PLACE TO GO.... DONT KNOW WHY I DID IT..... NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO TO PETMART.... PASS THE WORD I WILL BE.....

I brought my dogs (2) to get groomed there about every 2-3 months for the last 5 years. Im a veterinary technician at a clinic, so I never initial the line that authorizes them to take the pet to Banfield if something happens and I always specify that Im a tech and to just call me if something happens and that Ill bring them to my clinic. I brought in a new dog for an evening bath and did not initial. They called me after I left and said the manager would not allow them to groom the dog without that line initialed and authorized, which by the way is a new thing in the last couple years at my location anyway. I went to pick my dog up and told them I have never signed that part of the agreement and have never had an issue. They just said its store policy, so I told them they lost a customer. The groomers were very nice about the whole situation, but that changes nothing. Why would I pay ridiculous fees at your clinic after you just injured my dog when I work at a vet with a discount? I understand injuries can happen. I know that risk when I bring my pets in, but it would be nice if they could just allow a customer to go to another vet if something happens. If someone has an established vet and a trusting relationship with said vet, why would it not make sense to you to just allow them to go there?

First, I would like to say that the Roseville PetSmart is AMAZING! The people are always warm and friendly. They also know my dog by name (she is a frequent visitor at their Banfield due to many health issues) and we ALWAYS feel welcome! Secondly, I would like to bring attention to the user below that goes by the name of "Ruth Castle" and her slandering the name of PetSmart and unknowingly, Banfield. I was that customer that she complained about who said, "I hate people like her." Well, when Im physically assaulted by an irate woman with the patients of a mule I will say as I please! With the words she said to the Banfield associate, she should be ashamed. She has also gone on many websites complaining about this day... and the story is constantly changing. Apparently my cats health wasnt as important as her pets food! MORAL OF THE STORY! Roseville PetSmart AND Banfield are wonderful. Great people, great prices, AWESOME customer service and always our #1 stop for our pets needs!

Outstanding staff! I bought our first pet, a baby bearded dragon, at a different PetSmart (only because the Roseville store didnt have any at the time), but have been very very impressed with the Roseville store and their knowledge, friendliness and adequate amount of supplies! Especially for reptiles, which are a bit of a specialty! Cassie and Jenna have been my "bearded" angels and have been so patient with my rookie questions! Our pet got very sick (again from the other PetSmart store) and had to be syringe fed after only 2 weeks of getting him home because of parasites he got from the other store. Cassie was a wealth of information, having own a bearded dragon herself. We are so grateful for her expertise! Everytime we come into the store (which seems to be almost daily lately!) to buy crickets or supplies or even just to look, we are always greated with a huge friendly hello and there is always someone around to help you! You guys are the best!
