let me tell you about my awful experience with this dealership! I own a 2003 Hyundai Sonata and Ive been having problems with the steering and control of the vehicle it pulls very hard to the right and tires often squeal when they shouldnt. I checked online for recalls and sure enough there is 2 open recalls on my vehicle, one for the door handle and one for the frame rotting out! I jack the car up and begin to look at the frame and sure enough its rusted bad and ready to give away. As soon as I find out about the recalls I call my local inver grove hyundai dealership and tell them I believe I have a recall and safety issue, they check my vin and confirm the 2 recalls I ask if I could bring it in right away and the lady said no I dont have anything open until Wednesday so I make an appointment and she also tells me she would be giving me a rental car and that I need to bring insurance for Wednesday morning and I have no choice but to keep driving this car. Well the very next day the frame got worse and i lost control and went off the road. I called a tow truck and as the tow truck was loading my vehicle I call the dealership to figure out what to do. So the receptionist transfers me to the service department that already closed an hour ago.So I call back to talk to the manager she transfers me and no answer, I call back she transfers me again and of course no answer. So now I call back a 4th time and began explaining my situation to the receptionist and I tell her I just lost control or my car because of a recall on the frame and Im sitting here in the rain on the side of the road getting my car towed and I ask here can I tow it there. So she says yes and me and the tow driver proceeds to the dealership. As I got to the dealership I walked through the door and approached the first person I see. As Im walking up to him I reach out to shake his hand and introduce myself and he reaches his hand out and I ask "are you the manager?" and he immediately took his hand back as if he didnt want to shake my hand! very rude and a very poor first impression. Sure enough he was the manager and I explained how I had called 4 times and got nobody to help me and I tell him about the recall. We begin to walk outside to the tow truck and he says "is that a Hyundai? it looks pretty old" which I thought again was pretty rude! then he says " Im not going to be able to give you a rental car" I say why not I spoke to the lady yesterday and she had already set me up a rental car for Wednesday. then he proceeds to ask me if I have full coverage on the car and I say no then he tried to use the excuse of me not having full coverage to not give me a rental car. So then I proceed to tell him I have full coverage on my other car and finally he stopped haggling me about a rental car. Once I got the rental car I asked If they were going to pay for my tow since my car was unsafe to drive due to the recall and it left me stranded and he said he wasnt going to pay for it and it wasnt his responsibility. Tow truck cost me $127! I would not advise taking your car here or buying a hyundai because the service is absolutely terrible!

We test drove a vehicle that we really liked and decided to try to purchase. It had a dent on the rear fender and a 6" long crack in the plastic rear bumper. On top of that, a friend of ours works for another dealer in their dealer group, so the salesman said hed get me the "friends and family discount". We ended up being offered $200 off or get the crack in the bumper fixed. My wife liked the vehicle so we did the $200 off. We didnt have finances ready that particular Saturday so we gave them a $500 money order as deposit to hold the vehicle so they wouldnt sell it. Well, we ended up falling in love with another vehicle at a different dealer on the following Tuesday so Wednesday, I called to request the $500 back. The man from Finance, I think his name was Oliver, said sure thing, it would take a day or two to get the check cut but they would drop it in the mail by Friday. Then, on Saturday the salesman called me and specifically told me it was in the mail. Well, a week later, the check hadnt arrived, so I called them up and asked what was going on only to be told that it takes 10 days for them to process our check before they refund. Heres the multiple problems with our visit: 1) $200 for a "friends and family discount" OR fix the crack? Talk about terrible negotiating. My wife loved the car. I just liked it. Glad we found something else with a terrible negotiation like that. 2) I was told on the initial request for the deposit to be returned by someone in finance(Oliver, I think) that it would only take 1-2 days to get the check put in the mail. The initial call never said anything about 10 days. 3) I was told by Thomas, the salesman, that the check was in the mail, when it was not even written yet. He directly lied to me. What the heck? 4) I was told on the final call that they require 10 days to "make sure the check clears". It was a money order. Money orders are paid with cash. They are essentially guaranteed to clear. You cannot purchase a money order without cash. Why would it take 10 days to wait for something purchased with cash to clear? We put down the deposit 16 days ago, requested it to be returned 12 days ago, was told 9 days ago it was in the mail, and 3 days ago was told it still hasnt even been written. To try to make up for it, they said it would be couriered to our house and be delivered today. We still have not received the $500 back. Ive never dealt with such a shady company. We purchased ZERO services from them and apparently it takes them 16+ to return money for no services. What a complete joke. Will NEVER shop there, or at any other Carousel Motor Group dealer.

I was interested in a Hyundai Tucson. I went in two weeks ago and test drove to make sure it was a suv that I was proactive in pursuing. I was pushed into filling out a financing application though I explained multiple times that my credit is in poor state and that I wanted to discuss general numbers to find out what a good down payment would be to get me financed on a Tucson. It should also be mentioned that Carrie or whomever the pushy financial manager was I dealt with kept trying to get me to get the truck before the end of October. While I know it wasnt on my behalf it was clearly to affect their numbers of cars sold. The sales person called me back two days later and told me that if approved the numbers we were discussing were over $800 a month for the payment. I again requested information on a what a needed down payment needed would look like. The answer I received was "a few thousand.". I picked up a voice mail a few days later from someone named "Rocky" who was part of the special financing department at the dealership. I returned his phone call and provided him the requested information about my financial situation. Rocky told me he would call back in the next day or so and provide me an update as to where my file was and the status. I waited a week with no answer. I called the dealership this evening to find out what the status of the application and to speak with Rocky. Turns out Rocky was either fired or quit (doesnt specifically matter to me). I then spoke with Carrie (I recall her being the pushy financial manager pushing me into filling out the application previously mentioned). It should be mentioned that Carrie was rude and very unprofessional in the regards of how she spoke with me this evening. In closing, once I have a down payment and my car fixed to obtain the most trade value, I will NOT be doing business with Inver Grove Hyundai or the Pohlad group. I think that Luther Hyundai in Bloomington might get my business.
