My wife and I love Zak and Samantha. Zak did a dandelion, lips and phoenix for my wife. Sam did piercings. They are artists to the core yet the most cordial and professional people ever. My wife is very meticulous when it comes to tats and piercings. She will spend the money for quality and peace of mind. We found Zak and his wife Samantha at another shop. They really dedicated the time to educate us about the pros/cons and the dos/don’ts to certain piercings and tats. They won my wife over to piercings after I exhaustively tried to convince her to try nipple piercings again. Can you believe it! I couldn’t convince my own wife to get piercings again after months of trying! Yet Samantha quelled all of her fears. My wife is loyal to them forever. Now Zak and Sam are at Chroma and they are lucky to have them. While we were there we got to meet the owners (husband and wife team with theyre wonderful son who was there) Nice thing is they are not just some affluent people who had nothing better to do with their money and just one day decided to invest in some pie in the sky dream. (i.e. lets open a tat shop and see what happens) They are not only owners but clients you might say. They are hard core but recognize that the tattoo industry is more mainstream. This facility is a doctor’s office. Clean and contemporary. They are going to the next level. Lead, follow or just get the hell out of the way you idiots! You want quality, cleanliness, professionalism, friendliness and at the same time experience the spirit of true artistry? Dont settle! Leave your coupon book at home and do it right. (Prices are still VERY reasonable) BTW this is not your typical Kinkos Tattoo parlor. No flash boards! If you bring in your own idea they can many times augment your idea and make it unique for you!

I went into Chroma Tattoo looking for Karlos, I had seen his work a couple years ago and loved it. After an amazing consultation and reasonable deposit to hold the appointment, I was all set. Karlos completely understood what I wanted and had even whipped up a thumbnail while I was there, making me feel like he and I was on the same page, which is very comforting. Ive gotten plenty of tattoos and his professionalism was fantastic; in fact, the entire staff was very professional and helpful in getting me in on such short notice. The day of the tattoo we went into the back couch area where there were refreshments, snacks, tv, and games, which felt very homey. Karlos made any changes I asked for and reapplied it over and over to make sure it was exactly how I wanted it and looked as nice as it could. His tattooing was gentle and he was incredibly kind and understanding-offering breaks and checking up on me. Honestly, it was a great time. Interesting conversation, cool guy and I came out of it with a phenomenal tattoo. I highly recommend Chroma Tattoo.

Absolutely loved this place!! I went for my first tattoo and the entire experience was way better than I possibly could have imagined. The facilities are amazingly clean and comfortable, the artwork in the entry lobby is amazing! Every single person working there goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Jason worked on my tattoo and was amazing to talk to, plus my final product is absolutely stunning! He was able to recreate my grandmothers writing onto my tattoo and it came out just like she would have written it with the gun! They made sure I knew what to do afterwords as well to keep it clean and healthy. I couldnt recommend coming here more, I seriously cant describe how happy I am with Chroma! And like they say, once you get one you wont stop! Ill be seeing them again!

This place is sweet! First off, if youre going to get a tattoo, PLEASE do some homework...the shop, the artist, the design...dont be ticked off when the artist tweaks the design several times to suit your taste or make it fit where you want it. Remember, a tattoo shop is not a Starbucks, you cant run in a order exactly what you want! there has to be some give and take. Now, Kadee did an awesome piece for me, she was super friendly (as well as was everyone else in the shop), worked in perfectly what I was wanting, while giving her some freedom to, ready for this, be an ARTIST! I would and will go back to Chroma and have Kadee do more work for me. The shop was exceptionally clean and neat and not the least bit intimidating, which sometimes they can be. I would recommend Chroma and Kadee to anyone!!

I recently just went into get a tattoo on Wednesday from Karlos. I was recommended by a friend to go here and I was not disappointed. In fact the artist helped me design and tattooed the piece on me was beyond awesome. Hes really friendly and he did a fantastic job on my tattoo! I didnt think it would come out that great at first just because I wasnt sure how I exactly wanted it to be, but he was very helpful by drawing out what I wanted. The two workers I associated with (Karlos and a woman, who I was sure was the owner, who was working at the front desk) were super kind and actually felt like they cared instead of trying to rush you out and get their next appointment in. I highly recommend any of the artist here, out of all the different places Ive been to, this is my favorite by far.

I had an awful experience at this tattoo parlor. I walked in and the artist was sitting by the door he didnt stand or greet me. He just looked at me. I told him what I wanted which was extremely simple. He didnt ask any questions, went into the back and came out 10 minutes later with something he typed out onto Microsoft word and printed out. I told him I wanted it smaller, and perhaps a different font. He told me he will not change the font or size at all and there was nothing he could do. I asked him to make the lettering more spaced out and he told me I had an attitude and that Im annoying him. He was extremely rude, unprofessional and not willing at all to help me find a piece that I would have on my body forever. I will never return here again! Awful experience.

Went for a consultation with Ryan, made my appointment a week prior. Got there from Madison heights and Ryan was busy, so Barb did his consultation. Told her all my ideas and she said sounds good. Tattoos were a month out Told me to email him my pics & ideas, so I did 5 days before my appointment. Got a reply email back a day before my first session, telling me that "this is not my style or what I do" " you need to simplify your ideas and its too much for an arm tattoo " What the heck was that consultation for?? Waste my time?? Also waited a month in eager anticipation for my 6th tattoo just to be slapped by a rude artist Ryan was rude and shot down my ideas for my own sleeve!!! Called the office manager who was extremely apologetic and refunded my deposit!

I walked in to the shop and was blown away by the staff. Everyone was so friendly, and the shop was very clean (not to mention the awesome artwork on all the walls). They have a great sitting area where you can sit waiting to be tattood or waiting for someone you know. It was really neat! The artist who tattood me (Ryan) was very personable. I walked into the shop with a general idea of something that I wanted...but he really sat down with me and helped me figure out what I wanted. He printed off a few ideas, and then was able to describe to me what he was going to do before the needle touched my skin...this was a major help since Ill be wearing it for life. Ill definately be back to Chroma Tattoos... actually, Ill never be going anywhere else!
